With our squads crossing state lines over into North Carolina, you could tell our young ladies were on a business trip. You could see it in their eyes as they stepped onto the court. The preparation. The determination. You could tell that the game to our kids just meant more. Our girls came out hungry, ready to fight, and put on a show for those to see.
Throughout the course of the weekend, our clubs from the tri-state had tons of girls who stood out. There were different moments in each game, where someone stepped up. From knocking down clutch shots to sacrificing their body for a charge, our girls game in with avengence wanting to get on a coach’s radar. In this state, our great state, women’s basketball is held in high regard. The girls who suit up, not on rep their state and team, but a long legacy of players who came before them. They are making a name for themselves knowing that they are a part of a bigger picture out there. This state+basketball=high quality women’s hoops.
