In an absolute thrashing of a team from Colorado, Wichita Southeast’s Liz Taylor and Chariah Daniels combined for 43 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 steals. In a 19-point win over Lady Prospects 17U Blue, Taylor rang up 23 points, including 4 threes, and 5 rebounds while Daniels added 9 points and 5 rebounds.
Both girls deservedly earned Wichita City League honorable mention this past season and both have continued to grow their game since I saw them against Wellington at the MidAmerica Classic held at McPherson High School this past January.
Wichita Southeast’s Liz Taylor directs teammates while setting up on defensePoint guard Liz Taylor, 5’7”, is very fast in transition with the ball, has a very quick step, and goes aggressively to the basket from each side. She has continued her development as a perimeter threat and also is a strong free throw shooter. Taylor has shown increased strength, enabling her to finish more often while absorbing contact.

She is a solid defensive rebounder and free throw shooter. Daniels needs to continue developing into a perimeter threat to improve her prospects for playing at the next level.
BGCB 17U and Wichita Southeast are teams that love to run and have the athletes to do it for an entire game. Seeing where Taylor and Daniels are by December will be interesting to watch.
