Written about earlier this week as one of Georgia’s premier rim protectors, [player_tooltip player_id="154594" first="Aaliyah" last="Hunt"] answered the bell with a thoroughly dominant performance posting 7 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and possibly a Prep Girls Hoops Circuit record 18 blocks. As she always does, Hunt used her size and strength to her advantage, catching lobs and finishing in traffic. She is a D-I post presence that will draw plenty of recruitment as the Spring and Summer go on.
2024 5-11 F [player_tooltip player_id="372182" first="Nickyia" last="Daniel"] – Atlanta Cagers BlueChip 2023 – Hebron Christian
More of a stretch-four during the high school season, [player_tooltip player_id="372182" first="Nickyia" last="Daniel"] handled the ball with confidence on the perimeter during the Cagers’ 46-25 victory. Daniel’s expanding game saw her attack off the dribble and get to the rim, finishing with a floater. Her length, ability to hit the three and versatility on defense give Daniel great long-term value.
2024 5-11 W [player_tooltip player_id="335873" first="Riley" last="Simmons"] – Atlanta Cagers BlueChip 2023 – Cherokee
[player_tooltip player_id="335873" first="Riley" last="Simmons"] will be a big piece for the Cherokee Warriors this upcoming season. Her shot making from the perimeter coupled with her rebounding ability make her mismatch problem. Simmons is a lethal three-point shooter that spaces the floor as well as anyone in the 2024 class. As she improves her creativity with the ball, it will open more opportunities to score and put defenses in an even tougher position. Speaking of tough, Simmons does a fine job banging inside on the offensive glass. She’s able to collect rebounds and finish with the ball high. Simmons drilled a pair of threes and snagged 6 rebounds and 2 steals in Friday’s win.
2023 5-11 W [player_tooltip player_id="269506" first="Brooke" last="Moore"] – FBC Bounce Nation Jay 2023 – North Cobb Christian
One of the toolsy-est players in Georgia, [player_tooltip player_id="269506" first="Brooke" last="Moore"] is scratching on the surface of breaking out yet again. She secured her first D-I offer last month from Jacksonville and has more to surely come. She’s a smooth wing that has experience playing and defending 1-5. With Bounce Nation, she served as a playmaker from the high post, able to attack off the dribble or find the open man in the corners. Over the years, I’ve seen Moore do a little bit of everything. She can shoot the three, she can get to the rim and of course she can cause absolute havoc on defense with her elite length and athleticism. Playing alongside the rest of the Bounce Nation roster will help Moore unleash her aggression full-time. In a mercy rule victory, Moore posted 15 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals.
2022 6-0 C [player_tooltip player_id="302953" first="Simone" last="Lett"] – Georgia Dominance – Alpharetta
The Columbus State commit was a bowling ball inside. Not many bigs play with the strength and power of Lett. She carves out space, using a strong drop step and barreling her shoulders into the chest of opponents to clear the way. Lett has good feet for her size and can also hit the open jumper.
2023 5-9 W Amyah Woodmore – Georgia Queen Elite 2023 – Sprayberry
Woodmore was a bright spot for Georgia Queen Elite, tallying 14 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 2 blocks in a loss. Woodmore has a nice frame and plays hard as an inside-out threat. Amyah scored on a pair of And-1s, attacking the rim and absorbing contact. She showed touch from 8-feet and knocked down the open three when presented.
