PGH Peach Games Hidden Gems Part 1

The Peach Games is loaded with talent across the board. You have those players that hit the stat sheet hard but sometimes there is always that one player that does all the little things that make their team successful. The players that kind of fly under the radar.  Here are a few of my hidden gems. <strong>Clairrissa Winfrey</strong> I 6’2 I SF I 2024 I Lady Grinders 2024 Winfrey does all the little things that may not show up on the stat sheet. She is a post player but runs the floor just as hard as a guard. Knows how to catch the ball high and keep it high which makes it tough to block her shot. She finds great positioning on the block which leads to easy scoring opportunities around the rim. Her length creates problems on defense as she can cover so much space quickly. Has the ability to score inside/out and attack the basket at any given moment. A player that sees the floor well and is always looking to be in attack mode. Her length allows her to get a lot of deflections which lead to some easy transition baskets. A player that can score at all 3 levels which create matchup problems as her speed allows her to slash through the defense. Knows what it really means to be a two-way player as she creates havoc on offense and defense. Willing to do whatever it takes for her team to win. She brings the energy on both ends of the floor and knows how to spread that to her teammates. A player that is willing to sacrifice her body for loose balls. Lindsey knows her role on both ends of the floor and does all the little things to help her team be successful. Her quickness is her biggest asset as it allows her to breakdown the defense and get to the rim at will. Also allows her the ability to create havoc on defense. A player that can score off the dribble or score with her constant movement. She does all the little things that sometimes goes overlooked. Does not mind face guarding her opponents or just pressuring up 94 ft. Has the ability to score at all 3 levels and get downhill quickly. Has the ability to post up in the paint as well as step out and shoot the 3 ball. Knows how to get position on the inside to secure tough rebounds. Runs the floor well in transition and knows how to pick her spots for easy scoring opportunities. High IQ player.
