AAU Preview: Pro Skills Basketball

Under the direction of Rasheed Wright, Pro Skills has put together a strong AAU program in the Richmond area over a short period of time.  They have plenty of talent on the 17u/16u teams that will be competing during the upcoming live period against top competition. 17u Notable Players Malia Bullock-2023 Malia is the leader for this squad.  A true point guard, she does a nice job controlling the flow of the game, pushing the ball on the break and finds her scorers.  She can get into the paint where she draws fouls, her shot has improved as she is a threat from the 3pt line. Tyra Harrell-2023 Strong post player, physical around basket. Patient on her post moves, nice drop step and draws lots of contact. Good foul shooter, nice jumper out to midrange. Showcased a variety of nice moves in the mid post area. Good rebounder who can start the fast break. Allyson Booth-2023 Standing at 5’9, does a nice job using her length guarding smaller players making it difficult for them to shoot over top of her.  She is a three level scorer, shot ready on the wing with high arch on her 3pt shot.  Allyson has put in the work and is ready to put on a show to finish out her AAU career. 16u Impact Players <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-413817" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/04/E37F52EA-D063-43E5-B9F6-6485098C53DE-142x300.jpeg" alt="" width="142" height="300" /> [player_tooltip player_id="421802" first="Leah" last="Hampton"]-2024 Scoring threat, must know where she is on the court.  She is adept at taking players off the bounce, shifty and gets buckets when her team needs them.  A combo guard who can facilitate the offense, creates shots for herself and finishes through contact and draws fouls.  She does a great job of reading defenses and knowing angles to attack. <a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/05/4BEC04AE-91F4-4618-B2BE-6405EE3F5B13-scaled-crop-1211x796-1652906211.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-431568" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/05/4BEC04AE-91F4-4618-B2BE-6405EE3F5B13-scaled-crop-1211x796-1652906211-300x197.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /></a> Lily Berger-2024 A true point guard who makes the players around her better. High IQ player who finds gaps in defense to penetrate and kick to open shooters.  High assist, low turnover ration; solid defender who knocks down open open shots when needed.  She has a nice 3pt shot and can finish with either hand at the rim.  Controls flow of the game, pushes the ball in transition and is always looking up court.  If you are looking for a true PG, Lily is one to watch! <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-413816" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/04/8A063131-F435-42D7-BDFA-D9376701B7B0-142x300.jpeg" alt="" width="142" height="300" /> Katherine Cerullo-2024 Katherine is a tenacious rebounder, guaranteed to get double digit rebounds a game.  She works tirelessly on the boards hunting down the ball; sacrifices her body for loose balls and takes no plays off. High energy, effective getting to the basket, finishes through contact with either hand. Danni Marmo-2024 The ultimate teammate, no matter where I have see her play she is always supporting and encouraging her teammates.  A true combo guard with a nice 3pt shot, can run an offense and very unselfish.  She is also a good rebounder at the guard position and makes good decisions with the ball.  Dani continues to improve year after year, she has not reached her ceiling yet! [player_tooltip player_id="304787" first="Rayne" last="Wright"]-2025 Rayne has a complete skillset.  She can score, facilitate an offense and is a strong defender with length and athleticism.  Good ball handler who attacks the paint, kicks and relocates for open shots.  Her ability to see the floor and read defenses continues to improve.  She has gotten stronger in the post, draws contact and is a good free throw shooter. She is top 15 in her class for good reason!
