Trujillo showcased excellent reaction speeds versus closeouts, making her one of the more intriguing play finishers in the class. The incoming junior combo guard will be a potent downhill scorer at Roosvelt, through a myriad of quick twitch ball moves. Trujillo notably freed herself up through powerful crossovers, however she was capable using euros and gather steps to finish around contests. She was also creative scoring out on the perimeter, showing flashes as a movement shooter coming off screens. Trujillo will be worth monitoring this season, currently ranked at 97th in the 2024 class and 41st among a loaded group of combo guards.
Isabelle Delong Isabelle Delong 5'3" | SG Cheyenne East | 2023 CO – Cheyenne Esat – 2023
Delong plays a no-nonsense brand of basketball, given her assertive mindset on both ends. At roughly 5’3, the incoming senior combo guard showed poise on the defensive end both one on one or as a help defender. Using either hand to swipe away dribble moves; Delong’s aggressiveness makes her a versatile defender against both guards and wings. As an offensive threat, Delong could score in tight pockets with the floater, proving to manipulate the arc depending on how close the defender approached. One of the more confident shooters in the 2023 class, the combo guard even made a few threes within transition situations. Ultimately, Delong is a fairly well rounded two way weapon out of Wyoming, keep tabs on her this season.
Tiana Guzman Tiana Guzman 5'8" | CG Timnath | 2026 State CO – Timnath – 2025
Guzman brings potent shot making out on the perimeter while flashing pick and roll equity. While only about 5’3, Guzman uses crafty ball moves such as in and out moves with the right hand. She happens to bring quick shooting off the bounce, either coming out of a screen or within the break. Continuing to create more space off the dribble will aid her scoring upside, since the shot and footwork are in a functional spot for greater volume. The combo guard also showed high efficiency finishing from all angles around the rim, notably from the scoop layups. Continuing to develop her left-hand usage should aid in her offensive versatility.
Avery Alcaraz Avery Alcaraz 5'8" | SG Fort Collins | 2025 State CO – Fort Collins – 2025
Alcaraz is one of the better off ball moves in her class, aided by the excellent shooting touch off the catch. At roughly 5’8, the sophomore combo guard already possesses notable shooting gravity off movement. Alcaraz maintains balance when relocating for the shot, allowing her to get the rock off quickly under a contest. Continuing to leverage the shooting gravity for driving lanes will aid her with space on drives. Alcaraz showed she is capable maneuvering off of curls if needed to create a driving lane. I look forward to her getting more comfortable using the floater in traffic, given that she already possesses excellent touch. As a freshman at Fort Collins, she put up 10.6 points per game while making 35% of her three-point attempts (56/158) and 80% of her free throws (65/81). Alcaraz is on our watch list, stay tuned.
