Alcaraz was a threat from all levels in this matchup, actively attacking the lane for layups. Effective maintaining composure while drawing contact, no surprise the guard drew quite a few free throws off drives. Her shooting gravity remains a threat, as she knocked down multiple attempts off the catch. Although gaining momentum through the summer for her perimeter shotmaking, Alcaraz has drawn a ton of free throws to start the season. The junior guard has been particularly impactful leveraging her handle and perimeter gravity to lure defenders for drives. There are few guards with Alcaraz’s footwork off the bounce, capable getting to stepbacks to create just enough room for the shot. Drawing 13 free throws per game through her first 2, the guard has been excellent drawing fouls.

Avery is a lefty three-point specialist, with a majority of her shot attempts coming from three. She made 56 threes at 35%. Best-suited for the shooting guard spot at the next level, so she can focus on her shot-making ability from deep. A composed offensive game overall and is a solid decision-maker on the court.
