At both the high school and AAU levels, Danyella shows her ability to dominate while also having the awareness to slow the game down, play within a role, or take things into her own hands when needed. The true needle mover, in my opinion, is her commitment to Illinois State, a decision that reinforces basketball as a clear priority. Even with multiple options, she chose a program where she can develop and play immediately while still having the grace to grow through the natural learning curve of her freshman year, which will be fun to watch.

There’s no denying that Danyella is one of the best players in this state, and when you’ve been as consistent as she has been since the start of the year.. you end up with no losses in your record, as well as MVP honors from your respective holiday tournament. Danyella has continued to show she’s one of the best in the state, as well as the country.

Danyella is beyond talented, and regardless of her size, she will be able to be impactful at the next level. She has a certain aggression and focus that will allow her to play heavy minutes in her first year, whether it’s mid-major or P4.. she could be a notable name at the collegiate level once it’s all said and done.

Her high school program is one of the few teams in the state that has had a deep playoff run in the last couple of years, so heading back down this season isn’t far fetched.

Mporokoso has been a force over the past couple of years, and there are not too many players who can slow her down or guard her. On both ends this kid is a force to be dealt with.. and if you’re her matchup you’re in for a long night, with no breaks. In Game 1 of her first live session, she dropped 14 points to help secure the win against Next Level. I only see those numbers going up, and expect her to be a key factor in some big games this weekend.

Danyella is running with the fame M14 for her last AAU season, and the Adidas circuit is no easy task. She’s an aggressive competitor who won’t be phased, but from a scout and or a fan perspective, it’ll be fun to see her match up against top talent in almost every game she suits up for. The offers will keep coming in.

You can’t play back because she can shoot with precision, but you can’t play up either because her explosive speed is a threat.
