Jasiah Gilchrist Jasiah Gilchrist 5'1" | PG Richmond Sr | 2026 NC is a super-fast guard. She is quick on defense, she is explosive on offense, and she plays hard at all times. Gilchrist is a worker on defense. She pressures the basketball and forces several steals per game. Additionally, she has a nice left-handed jump shot. She can score from the outside or slash to the rim as well. From the guard position, Gilchrist is an exceptional rebounder. She attacks the glass for her team and earns multiple extra possessions each contest on the offensive glass.

Richmond Senior High School Head Coach Teddy Mosely had his squad rolling this year. The Lady Raiders finished undefeated in conference play (13-0) and notched 3 wins in the NCHSAA playoffs. 2x All-Conference guard Josiah “Jo-Jo” Gilchrist played a big role in the teams success this season. It is clear that Jasiah takes pride in her defense. She gets low on her opponents and is able to lock on their hips. She is lightening quick as she can get from Point A to Point B in a hurry. The lefty spent a lot of time playing the off guard spot which works well for her as she knows how to spot up and shoot it, averaging over 13 ppg last season. Very good recognition to what the defense is doing and she doesn’t force what isn’t there. She will take the jumper if open and is a very solid passer who can be found threading the needle to teammates in traffic. Strong finisher at the rim and can finish through contact. Certainly a player that is due for a breakout season next year.

Offensively, she scores in a variety of ways. She can get to the basket or shoot the ball consistently. She has a smooth lefty jumper with range from beyond the arc. Defensively, she creates steals with her defensive aggressiveness and willingness to pick up and guard 94 feet.
