De Pere has leaped this season and become outside contenders for a state tournament bid, and Ciesielczyk has been a crucial part of the Red Birds 24-25 season. The senior has done a little of everything this season for De Pere. She’s among the team leaders in scoring and probably near the top in rebounding. She’s also a kid who doesn’t shy away from defensive matchups. I’ve watched her guard opposing teams’ best offensive players over the summer, and she’d never back down. That sentiment has reverberated around the Red Bird program, but Ciesielczyk may be the best example of that overarching theme. As of writing this article, the Red Bird has not announced any plans to play at the next level, but I’m sure there are D3 programs in the state that would love to have her on their roster.
