SOME THINGS STAY THE SAME
Faith Carson Faith Carson 6’4″ | C Buchanan | 2023 State MI is no secret here in Michigan. I’ve been high on her game since she arrived on the scene as a freshman. The Ohio State commit is the most powerful post player in the state and can dominate a game from from the block. Carson can also play on the perimeter. If you watch her play, it won’t take long to realize that she has great court vision and is an excellent passer.
Lefler is another player that we’re accustomed to seeing high on the list. When she came in as a freshman she had a distinct reputation as a shooter. How the times have changed. While Lefler is still an elite shooter and scorer from behind the arc, her game has developed into much more than that. She’s a terrific ball handler and a player that can create at the point position.
Tringali is a terrific basketball player that also carries a very high upside. She can handle like a point and shoot the ball like a 2 guard. Tringali is known for her dedication to her craft, always finding and taking advantage of opportunities to expand her game and improve as a player. The Trine commit keeps herself in great physical condition and is college ready.
SOME THINGS NEW
Bynum is riding a terrific grassroots season and is reaping the benefits of it when it comes to her recruitment. She’s an aggressive downhill lead guard that likes to make plays off the bounce. Bynum does a nice job breaking down the defense and either finishing at the rim or drawing the D and finding open teammates.
Highlights
Thigpen is an exciting prospect, the kind that can draw a crowd to the gym to watch her play. She’s an impressive combination of power and athleticism. Thigpen is a 2 way player that makes it tough for a coach to take her out of the game. She has that next level to her game where she can find that extra gear and take over.
Kopacko is a very intriguing prospect that some next level coaches are going o want to take a look at. When I saw her during grassroots season, it was her defense that left the biggest mark. She stood her ground on D using her strength and positioning. Kopacko quite simply wouldn’t be outhustled on that end. She showed the ability to defend multiple positions as well.
