Esmerelda played a big role for Mabton last season, and expect it again from her next season. Esmerelda is a lights-out shooter, and has the ability to facilitate the ball when teammates are open, as well as get inside and rebound the ball well. She had some big performances in the state tournament last year, so look for her to build off that.

She was a big part of the success of Mabton this season as one of the top shooters and scorers all season long. She had a 23-point, 13-rebound, 6-assist performance in the quarterfinal loss to Okanagan at the state tournament. She had 12 points in the opening-round win over Liberty and finished with 7 points in a loss to Adna. These young guards are interchangeable and can both shoot it well. Mabton should be back in Spokane next season.
