Let's checkout some of the action from the county down here on the coast right here. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>Dillon HS 49 Georgetown HS 37 </em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Dillon HS Lady Wildcats made the drive down 85 miles one-way to Georgetown this week. The Lady Wildcats playing with a fairly young roster got the victory. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>7th Grader Setups: </em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Girls Hoops first saw <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='429829' first='Treasure' last='Davis']</strong> this past spring on the Grassroots Circuit in Florence, SC with a local grassroots team. Davis is currently averaging 17.8 ppg for the Lady Wildcats in 10 games this season as a 7th grader. Treasure plays the game with an attack the rack approach. She really does a good job of picking up contact to the basket and plays with a fearless mindset already for her young age. Treasure is really active in the passing lanes picking up deflections all night long. Chambers comes off the bench and seems to have good footwork around the paint and size already. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>The Lady Bulldogs: </em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='576595' first='K'moni' last='Taylor'] </strong>a junior small forward led the way for Georgetown HS with 10 points. Senior guard <strong>Caitlin Smith</strong> provided 8 points in the loss. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='589702' first='Noa' last='Kate Morris']</strong> plays down in the paint for the Lady Bulldogs. Morris a post player and just a freshman saw good minutes today. She really does a nice job of keeping the ball up in the air after claiming it off the glass and seems to have good hands. Morris finished with a modest 5 points on limited shot opportunities. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>Carvers Bay HS 60 Scott's Branch HS 40 </em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Lady Bears keep rolling in the region with another this time over in Summerton. Carvers Bay HS moves to (15-6) and (4-0) in region play. The Lady Bears have won 7 games in a row. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='250480' first='Jerchel' last='Geathers-Washington'] </strong>led the way today with 29 points. She connected on 12 baskets from the floor all 2-pointers. Jerchel is really starting to show some flashes this season for the Lady Bears with her play on the hardwood. She has great footwork and at times just glides over the paint area. Jerchel is currently averaging a double-double this season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image --> <figure class="wp-block-image"><img alt=""/></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>UNSIGNED Senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='576616' first='Liberty' last='Brown']</strong> scored 19 points in the win for the Lady Bears. Liberty likes to play strong and physical on the hardwood.
