With the addition of 24 new prospects, the final class of 2023 rankings update realized a net gain of 20. Enjoy this look at the second group of eight players to be included. As with the eight presented in part 1, players are listed in ranked order.

[player_tooltip player_id='597035' first='Caitlyn' last='Belote'], 5'10", PG, Lyons - Belote uses her size and solid build to great advantage. She works well around the basket off the dribble. She also elevates well on shots and rebounds. Belote also boxes well.

[player_tooltip player_id='598832' first='Saylor' last='Salmans'], 5'9", SG, Manhattan - A long-limbed southpaw, Salmans frequently can be found playing in the post due to her length. Athletic and quick with the ball, she catches and finishes well in transition. Salmans has a tendency to rush her perimeter shots, not giving herself time to set her feet. Salmans has a great deal of upside potential left to tap and hope I get to see her realize it at the collegiate level. I really like how well she boxes out on the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='597036' first='Megan' last='Beier'], 5'7", CG, Linn - Beier just missed the cut for my list of top efficient assist leaders for 2022. This season she is averaging 6.8 assists per game with a 1.4 assists-to-turnovers ratio. She is averaging 5.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game. Beier does not take many three point shots but has made 4 at a 29% clip. She is also shooting 60% from the line.

[player_tooltip player_id='598831' first='Lilly' last='Kentner'], 5'8", SG, Olathe South - Kentner is an intriguing player because she is not anywhere near her ceiling of potential. The ability is there, it just needs to continue to be honed. She changes ends well and with speed, finishes with athleticism, and has a nice dribble side-step move to shoot the three with range. She also scores well off the catch in the mid-range. Defensively Kentner is often assigned the duty of defending the ball full court and showed good footwork in doing so. Oddly, in the half court her lateral footwork is not quite as strong. I hope to see her game in another year at the college level.

[player_tooltip player_id='598830' first='Haley' last='Kangas'], 5'2", PG, Chaparral - While not really speedy, the solidly quick Kangas creates well for others. She will challenge defenders on the drive but is most effective off her pull-up jumper. Kangas is a deceivingly good perimeter shooter, especially off the catch. While watching her at Haven she hit three triples.

[player_tooltip player_id='525603' first='Heaven' last='Triscornia'], 5'3", SG, Olathe North - 11.4.22 Team 4 PGH Expo article - Slyly quick, Triscornia was strong with the ball and head-and-shoulder fakes. She also hit the three ball in the short wing/ not quite the corner area. Put that all together and you saw a player very effective at working the baseline area for scoring drives. Active and athletic, she also was effective defending drives down the lane.

[player_tooltip player_id='597037' first='Josie' last='Weers'], 5'7", CG, Southern Coffey County - Weers has put up big double-double numbers in the early season in averaging 19.3 points and 13.6 rebounds for the 4-2 .... She has also picked up 1.8 steals and has a 2:1 assists-to-turnover ratio. Shooting a blistering 50% from beyond the arc Weers has shot 49% overall from the floor and 66% from the line.

[player_tooltip player_id='598829' first='Katelyn' last='Koester'], 5'8", SF/PF, Conway Springs - Koester plays a variety of positions for the Cardinals. Offensively she will most commonly be found on the wing while defensively she is the team's most reliable post defender. Koester is a threat to score in a variety of situations. Looking for down-the-floor passes, she runs the floor with good speed in transition; competes well inside; shoots well in the mid-range; and finishes with speed from either side. She also is a solid free throw shooter.
