Below are some of the state’s players to keep your eyes on in the 2020 class
Aryeona Carter, 6’0, F, 2020, Piper
An athletic player with long arms and great speed. She stays with plays and can finish her own shots and her teammates if they miss. She can get her shot off well and uses her athleticism to her benefit as a rebounder and a scorer near the basket. She is also a smart transition player as her speed can make the difference.
Jenna Pfau, 5’10, F, 2020, Oskaloosa
A multiple-sport athlete who brings experience and smart plate on the floor. She has good height at 5’10 and is an athletic and bouncy player around the basket. She can get her shot off inside and is also comfortable shooting jump shots and shots close to the free-throw line. She works hard on defense and looks to block shots and rebound.
Rachel Harman, 5’11, C, 2020, Inman
An excellent shot blocker who keep her eye on the ball and isn’t easily fooled. She can clean up plays as a trailer in transition and is good at stealing the ball as well. She can finish plays around the basket and also looks to score when the ball swings her way.
Chariah Daniels, 5’10, F, 2020, Wichita Southeast
An athletic forward who can finish shots through contact. She is smart at getting looks and moves quickly after the catch. She can rebound well on the defensive end and can finish plays on the offensive end. She has a great roll after the screen and can handle the ball for herself and push the tempo.
Zanaa Cordis, 6’3, C, 2020, Manhattan
A player with great height and length. Cordis is good at blocking shots and keeping your hands up on the defensive end. She can rebound well on the defensive end as well and quickly passes out once she steals the ball or blocks the shot.
