<p>The Mainland Buccaneers (20-8) are in the state championship game for the first time in school history, coming off a commanding 56-23 win over Gateway in the semifinals. They will seek to become the first Volusia County school to win a state title since Spruce Creek defeated Miami High in the 2018 Class 9A title game, 44-43. </p>

<p>The American Heritage Patriots (23-7) are no stranger when it comes to playing for state championships, as they are seeking their sixth consecutive state title which would tie Miami Country Day (2014-2019) for the most consecutive titles in FHSAA history in girls basketball. The Patriots got to the state championship game following their 71-33 thumping win over Clearwater in the semifinals.</p>
