Lady Lions Junior Backcourt:
Trinity Vance Trinity Vance 5'10" | SG Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC was named MVP of the Tourney with her 20-point performance vs Quality Education Academy. Vance hit a good amount of three pointers today. Trinity is ranked the #2 player in the Palmetto State 2024 Class. She really showed a good variety of shot selection and while being productive on both ends of the court.
Teammate Mila Holloway Mila Holloway 5'9" | PG Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC finished with 8 points in the victory today. Holloway plays really well with the ball in her hands in the open court. She can race by defenders to the cup and find the open teammate or drop in an easy bucket.
Final Farewell for Lady Lions Seniors:
Hailey Chiles Hailey Chiles 6'3" | C Legacy Early College | 2023 State SC , Kendahl Spearman Kendahl Spearman 5'7" | PG Legacy Early College | 2023 State SC , Kimyah Foggie Kimyah Foggie 5'10" | SF Legacy Early College | 2023 State SC and Skylan Swindoll Skylan Swindoll 5'10" | PF Legacy Early College | 2023 State SC all finished their careers this weekend for the Lady Lions. Chiles and Spearman will both be headed off to play at LaSalle University and Coastal Carolina University next fall respectively.
Foggie is the GLUE to this Lady Lions roster at times. She won’t light up the scoreboard, but she will take a charge, grab a loose ball, jump on the floor or pick up a rebound in traffic. Kimyah already has accomplished an Associate Degree while at Legacy Early College with her outstanding academics.
Swindoll played the past 2 seasons here at Legacy Early College after playing at Easley HS. Skylan has good footwork and a soft touch around the rim. She can play with her back to the basket and has no problems being a mover-screener on the floor. Skylan recently picked up an offer from Spartanburg Methodist College.
Lady Pharaohs Start off Slow:
The Lady Pharaohs fell behind 11-1 at the first quarter and never could get back in the game. UNSIGNED Senior shooting guard Alivia Evans Alivia Evans 5'9" | SG Quality Education Academy | 2023 NC finished with 10 points today. Evans has a nice stroke when she has time and space to get it off. Alivia plays the game with a great demeanor and always seems to be ready to receive the ball in the pocket when thrown to her.
Jazlyn Harris Jazlyn Harris 5'8" | PG Quality Education Academy | 2024 State NC finished with 9 points in the loss. Harris scored 27 points earlier in the tourney vs Legion Collegiate. Jazlyn can get the ball downhill to the basket as a high motor guard. She was able to play active in the passing lanes today and picked up a few deflections going the other way.
Familiar Face:
Breah Franks Breah Franks 6'3" | C J.L. Mann | 2025 State SC is a native of Greenville, SC. Franks a left-handed post player attends Quality Education Academy. Breah started off her high school career at Mauldin HS and J.L. Mann HS before coming over to the Lady Pharaohs this past fall.
No Shortage of Knee Braces:
I have been covering basketball since 1999 and in my life, I never saw so many knee braces in one game for one team. Quality Education Academy had 5 players wearing knee braces all on the left leg.
Quality Education Academy:
The Lady Pharaohs finished the season at (18-12). QEA lost to Winston-Salem Christian (4 times) this season and Legacy Early College (3 times).
