Four Juniors That Caught My Eye This High School Season

through out the 2022-23 high school season.  Here are some of the top Junior guards from the class of 2024 that caught my eye.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- is always a favorite of mine to watch.  She is quick, aggressive, had shifty moves, and good handle.  Fort Myers has traditionally been the top team in the Southwest part of Florida and Toombs did her best all season to keep it that way averaging 13.6 points, 4.5 assists, and close to 3.5 steals per game while leading Fort Myers to a 19-7 record.  Toombs play really stood out at the Tampa Bay Invitational when her squad took on tough out of state opponents and Toombs slashed from the top of the key and in transition off the bounce, fearlessly attacking the rim and getting into the paint to score or create shots for her teammates.  She has explosive bounce and elite was a silent assassin all season for St. Thomas.  She was always in the starting lineup, played the large majority of all games, and put together solid overall performances night in and night out on both ends of the floor.  She does not get too high, and she does not get too low – she is steady.  Hession handles the ball well vs pressure, capable of playing the point guard and off-guard spots, she shares the ball selflessly always giving the ball up to open teammates, shoots a high percentage from the field both in the paint and from the outside and is a stellar defender often matching up against the opposing team's top perimeter scorer.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["221678"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"While Hession is more the silent assassin type, Corporan is a bit more flashy.  She is a talented scoring point guard who likes to attack off the dribble at all times and consistently puts pressure on the opposing defenses to keep her out of the paint.  If the ball is in her hands, she is looking for opportunities to score both off the bounce and from the perimeter.  She has a slender, athletic build with good change of direction 1v1 moves, and has the ability to attack her man off the dribble and get into the paint to create was a rock for Western High School all season leading them in points (11.2), assists (4.7), and steals (5.0).  Her teams Achilles heel all season was scoring points and much of that rode on Elliott's ability to score or create for her teammates while drawing the opposing teams best defender.  Elliott plays with cool court demeanor, never getting too high, and never getting too low, giving consistent effort night in and night out, with a competitive spirit that it is obvious she desires to win the game.  She has a strong lower body with broad shoulders and a good base, she can attack off the dribble and absorb contact both on her way to the rim and in the paint.  She is a solid outside shooter with the ability to attack off the bounce and get into the teeth of opposing defenses as well as push tempo in
