Taylor Sipfle
About Taylor
Expert Analysis
Cedric Cobb | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Taylor has been one of the top post presences in the state and a consistent matchup problem. She’s strong on the glass, especially offensively, and knows how to establish position early. She’s not just a back-to-the-basket player, either—she can step out and knock down the mid-range jumper with consistency. She’s headed to the Air Force.

Sipfle might not be 100 percent physically, but she’s still the anchor in the paint for Hamilton. She rebounds at a high level. She protects the rim. And around the basket, she’s extremely efficient. She doesn’t need 15 dribbles. One move, strong base, finish through contact. If Hamilton is going to defend its title, it starts with her presence inside. She changes shot selection just by being there. Teams have to account for her every trip down the floor.

Since returning from injury, Sipfle has steadily worked herself back into rhythm — and it’s showing. She’s anchoring the paint again. Legit rim protector, Alters shots and finishes efficiently around the basket. What stands out is her IQ — she doesn’t force things, understands timing, and understands positioning. If Hamilton is going to make a serious effort to repeat, it starts with her controlling the interior on both ends.

Still working her way back into game shape, Sippfe was dominant in the paint and difficult to keep off the glass. Her size, wingspan, and physical presence made her a problem around the rim, where she finished efficiently on her way to a double-double. The Air Force commit showed that as she continues to round into form heading into the postseason, Hamilton will be a tough out and a real contender, making another championship push.

In only her third game of the season, Sipfle had a big impact on the upset win over Millennium. Early on, she was a tough cover as she established position deep in the paint, forcing the defense to adjust to her presence. She also impacted the game on the defensive end, finishing with 10 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.

In her first game back after battling an injury, Sipfle wasted no time making her presence felt. She established deep position in the paint, finished well with either hand, and was strong on the glass. Her touch around the rim and ability to carve out space stood out. Once she fully gets back into her rhythm on both ends, she adds another dangerous layer to an already tough Huskies team.

Sipfle has been putting in the work, and it showed in her play. She is already a fine rebounder and shot blocker. On the offensive end of the court, she has expanded her shooting range and improved at putting the ball on the floor. She has picked up multiple offers as of late.

She anchored the paint as a true rim protector — blocking or altering nearly every shot that came her way. Offensively, she showed great patience with her back to the basket, using her size and footwork to carve out space. She finished with a soft touch around the rim and didn’t rush her looks, staying composed even in traffic. A strong interior presence on both ends.

Taylor is a walking double-double. She routinely boxes out and is relentless establishing post position inside. This will translate to the next level! Taylor finishes well with either hand. Extremely fundamentally sound. She has the size and coordination to finish in traffic through multiple defenders. She doesn’t shoot many jumpers but her shooting stroke has solid mechanics on her free throws. Taylor is an engaged defender who moves her feet and keeps active hands. She understands how to stay vertical and defend without fouling. Taylor’s footwork, feel for the game, and competitive edge are all very impressive.

Since the beginning of her junior season, Taylor has become a walking double-double. She has steadily improved in all phases of her game, from offense to rebounding to shot blocking. I expect a big spring/summer out of Taylor.
