I have been extremely high up on this kid for quite sometime. She is one of the best shooters on the West Coast. Benway has added to her playmaking ability, and I feel if her team gets her the ball, she can help impact the game with her scoring ability. Another surefire division 1 prospect with tremendous upside.

Benway is one of my favorite back court prospects as she can light it up from all three levels. If I were to pick her up on my fantasy basketball team, I expect her to do what she does best which is catch and shoot. She can also create her own bucket, hit mid range shots, and convert from deep in the perimeter. Definitely another sure fire division 1 prospect with tremendous upside.

Benway is one of the most dangerous guards in the class when she’s aggressive. She plays with pace, sees the floor well, and controls tempo. But her scoring is where the jump is coming — expect that number to climb significantly this season. She’s equally effective as a passer and shooter, and she always looks to make the right basketball play.

is one of the best shooters in Arizona if not the best. She can hit consistently from mid-range and the 3 point line. She has incredible technique and form on her jump shot, and she can shoot with pressure in her face. She is a terrific ball handler and passer, and she has a very high basketball IQ for a Sophomore. Look for Benway to be one of the top recruited players in the state by her Senior year, and look for her to be a vital piece to Hamilton making a run at a State Title.

Benway is a lethal shooter who was dialed in all weekend. Whether open or contested, she knocked down shots with confidence and consistency. She also played a very nice floor game while sharing point guard duties.

Destinee Benway showed up to this event while traveling with her family across the Country. Benway comes to us out of the state of Arizona and she is a very talented prospect out of the 2028 Class. In every skill’s drill, 3v3, or 5v5 contest – this is someone that stood out as an elite playmaker on both sides of the ball. Offensively, she hit a ton of shots from beyond the volleyball line from deep, she created for others off the dribble while attacking her defender, and she scored with ease once she did end up getting downhill into the middle of the lane. Defensively, she held her own. She recorded several steals and rebounds on the day, which was noteworthy. All in all, Benway is a competitor out of the 2028 Class who should have D1 offers before her high school career comes to a close. On the trajectory she is on, she has the chance to be special. She just needs to keep progressing.

was a late addition to today’s event and boy am I glad she stopped by. Benway was, in my opinion, the best on the floor today at using her pivot / jab to free herself from defenders. She protects the ball well, sets defenders up with superb footwork, and has an explosive first step that led her to countless finishes. She utilized that same skillset while setting her defender up on ball screens, attacking downhill with ease. A positive communicator and straight up bucket-getter in the midrange and from deep — Benway is the real deal.

I came away very impressed with the poise and patience of Benway. She has excellent court vision to go along with a smooth jump shot that she can pull effortlessly with range. Destinee is one of the better shooters on the West Coast.
