Guanella has been nothing short of rock solid for 26-2 Monarch, providing consistency as a floor general. The 5’7 guard has already garnered collegiate attention, taking her talents to the Fort Lewis Skyhawks, alongside Salida forward Sarah Chick Sarah Chick 6'0" | SF Salida | 2023 State CO . Guanella played a pivotol role hitting big shots in the fourth quarter, typically from savvy decisionmaking. Her processing speed is a clear strength, surveying the floor while on the move and attacking any possible openings. Not to mention, Guanella is a tough finisher through contact, especially with the right hand. Through her senior season at Monarch, Guanella put up 15.7 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.8 steals per game. Let it be known, she is no slouch on the defensive end either. Guanella currently sits at 14th overall and 3rd among senior point guards.
Sydney White Sydney White 5'10" | PG Arapahoe | 2023 State CO – Arapahoe
The future Cal Baptist Lancer possesses notably deep range on the jump shot, alongside value facilitating. The 5’10 lead guard immediately draws attention for her shotmaking ability, whether from a standstill or from the pull-up. Arguably her most impactful skill is live dribble passing with either hand, routinely finding teammates in the pocket. Through her final season with 20-7 Arapahoe, White has put up 12.7 points, 3 assists, and 2.4 steals per game. White stands at 16th overall and 4th among point guards for the 2023 class.
Delaney Matkin Delaney Matkin 5'6" | PG Rocky Mountain | 2023 State CO – Rocky Mountain
Matkin has proven to be a valuable facilitator, capable making plays off the dribble with either hand. With 14-10 Rocky Mountain, Matkin was impactful creating opportunities for teammates off of kickouts. The future Western Colorado Mountaineer had herself a steady season, posting 8.4 points, 3.8 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 2 steals per game. Her consistency hitting threes off the catch will be an important asset to her offensive versatility. Matkin stands 19th overall within the 2023 class, 6th among point guards.
Jacy Rohr Jacy Rohr 5'4" | PG Liberty | 2023 State CO – Liberty
Rohr is a fantastic ballhandler, capable getting downhill with a couple quick moves. Standing at roughly 5’4, Rohr is adept getting shots off in tight spaces, notably through her mid-range floaters. Through her senior year, the guard put up 14.8 points and 2.8 steals per game while contributing 32% on three point attempts. Already excellent drawing fouls in the paint, Rohr’s upside resides in her facilitating once inside. Rohr currently fills in the 33rd overall spot in our 2023 rankings.
Nariah Golden Nariah Golden 5'3" | CG Denver East | 2023 State CO – Denver East
Golden is especially quick with the ball as the guard possesses some of the best acceleration of anyone in the class. Standing right around 5’3, the guard does well turning the corner on the immediate defender, changing speeds especially quick with the ball in her right hand. She already has the pull-up jumper as an option should the defense drop low. On the defensive end, Golden is aggressive helping onto opponents, doing well to not overplay or foul. Simply put, the guard is advanced reading the opponent and consistent betting on steals. Through her senior year, Golden has put up 12 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.7 steals, and 2.6 assists per game while converting 37% of triples. The senior guard stands 41st among all positions in the class.
