Wheat State Slam 15U Day 1 Standouts

Here is a look at several standout players I saw from the early going in the 15U division.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Rylee Beaver</strong>, 5'8", SF, Staley (MO), [program_tooltip program_id='713359' first='Flash' last='KC'] 2026, 2026 - Beaver was a an active player on the perimeter and around the block. While not a spot-on shooter she releases a nice looking shot with good arch. With improved accuracy she will benefit from her shot's softness. She especially likes, and is effective with, the change of pace. Off the bounce she finishes at speed and with extension. Defensively, her quick hands and feet generate transition baskets.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='621237' first='Justine' last='Berlin'], 6'0", PF, Clearwater (KS), [program_tooltip program_id='716118' first='Next' last='Level Eclipse'] 2026 McCorry, 2026 - Berlin has good feet on both ends of the floor and is a terrific shot blocker. She also handles well enough to clear rebounds and initiate breaks. With her solid transition speed Berlin often beats defenders back. Among the best post players at creating space on the post-up. She showed some ability to block shots without fouling and anticipate passes inside to generate deflections and steals. Gulley handles well enough to finish shots off the catch and gather herself as she works for a good shot</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
