By Michael Wholey

April 27, 2023 9:00 PM

The 2022-23 High School season has concluded and the 2023 travel season is in full effect. Coming off of the first live evaluation period in April, the spring offers are piling up for many of Florida's top prospects. In part 2 of spring scholarship offers, let's take a look who has picked up offers in the class of 2024, 2025, and 2026.

Class of 2024

[player_tooltip player_id='248291' first='Kennedy' last='Rosendahl'] (Ponte Vedra / Southeast United) 5'8 Guard

Offers: North Greenville University

Rosendahl had an excellent junior season for Ponte Vedra averaging 11+ points per game and shooting 36% from 3. The skilled 5'8 is an efficient offensive scorer and a pesky on ball defender. On the offensive end, Rosendahl, a left, can knock down open 3s, put it to the floor and showcase a mid range of 1-2 dribble pulls, as well as play off a shot fake and attack the rim. She can play both off the ball and the point guard position and is extremely effective coming of down screens for catch and shoot opportunities at the top of the key or wing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QPrc4OhPXY

[player_tooltip player_id='851277' first='Heloisa' last='Carrera'] (IMG Academy / FGB) 6'4 Forward / Center

Offers: Middle Tennessee, Kent State, UAB, USF, UAB, Robert Morris

As the saying goes, you can't teach height and post players are in high demand. Carrera had a big showing for FGB, and therefore the 6'4 Forward / Center picks up multiple offers to kick off her recruiting process.

[player_tooltip player_id='487612' first='Sienna' last='Dauer'] (IMG Academy / FGB) 5'11 Guard

Offers: Middle Tennessee, Navy, Bellarmine

Dauer, is a big guard that can shoot the ball and is highly skilled and efficient on the offensive end. Dauer can fill it up off the pass, off the bounce, from deep beyond the 3, and in the paint. For FGB, she has been particularly effective attacking from the top of the key and getting into the teeth of the defense and in catch and shoot situations knocking down the corner 3 off penetration and kick situations.

https://youtube.com/shorts/th7xHm_DsQQ?feature=share

Bri Rivera (Lake Highland Prep / J Sizzles) 5'8 Guard

Offers: James Madison, Southern Miss, Elon

Watching March Madness this spring, it was obvious that shooting is at a premium for college programs. With all the athleticism and size on college rosters, a sharp shooter that can help spread and space the floor and keep defenses honest is imperative to a high octane offense and in my opinion Rivera is the # 1 shooter in Florida and one of the top outside shooters in the country. She is in her range anytime she crosses half court, has a quick release, deep range and can knock it down off the catch and off the dribble. She has the ability to completely turn the game around when she gets hot, knocking down 3+ 3-pointers in a row, leading her team to 9 to 12-0 runs often!

[player_tooltip player_id='645162' first='Tabitha' last='Betson'] (DME Academy / DME Travel) 6'2 Forward

Offers: Elon University, Western Carolina

Betson has been one of my favorite players to watch in April as she plays extremely hard on both ends of the floor and is very active, constantly being around the ball and playing a role in every possession. The 6'2 forward / center is from Australia and been part of the U16 FIBA Asia and U17 World Cup Victoria teams in addition to be a impact player at DME Academy. At Deep South last weekend, she averaged 14.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 5 assists per game. Betson did a great job controlling the paint and the defensive boards, often starting the break after grabbing the rebound. She finished at a high percentage off offensive put backs, off advancement passes in transition, knocked down shots from the high post, put the ball to the floor from the top of the key and the wing, and event stepped out to the 3-point line. I am sure the offers will keep piling up for this Aussie!

Class of 2025

Sofia Miller (Sarasota / Miami Suns) 6'2 Forward

Offers: Tennessee Tech

Miller was nominated for player of the year honors for Windermere Prep this season averaging 15.4 points and 11.6 rebounds. She has since transferred to Sarasota High School and switched travel teams to the Miami Suns. At 6'2, she is a super role player for Team Fowles coming off the bench giving them rebounding, scoring, hustle, and general overall activity. She does not need the ball in her hands and is a solid presence in the paint. Originally from Tennessee, she picks up an offer from Tennessee Tech, the first of many offers over the next 2 years!

[player_tooltip player_id='248694' first='Nyla' last='McFadden'] (St. Thomas Aquinas / Essence) 6'1 Wing

Offers: Florida Atlantic

McFadden picks up an offer from in state Florida Atlantic after helping lead St. Thomas Aquinas to a state championship and having solid performances at Sunshine State Showdown and Boo Williams EYBL session 1. McFadden is one of the most athletic and versatile players in the state with major upside. Her offensive production and skill set continues to improve each time I see her play, continuing to add and improve her individual offensive skills. The high flyer has 15 foot range, can attack off the bounce, flies in from the wing and grabs offensive rebounds well above her opponents and uses her length and wingspan to be an impactful defensive player.

[player_tooltip player_id='409186' first='Holland' last='Harris'] (Faith Christian / FGB)6'1 Wing / Forward

Offers: USF

Harris has yet to suit it up for FGB in April due to injury but will be back on the court in May and July. During the high school season, she was one of the stars of Lakeland dropping 35 points and 13 rebounds in the 2A State Championship game, leading Faith Christian to victory. Harris can play multiple positions in both the back court and the front court and can play inside and out. A high volume shooter, Harris will step out and let it fly from 3, she will attack off the dribble and get to the rim and does a great job getting to free throw line often. She picks an offer from in state USF, the first of many offers to come.

Michael Wholey is the lead scout for Florida Prep Girls Hoop Florida and a former division one Assistant Coach at American University, University of Memphis, and Georgia Tech. Wholey and the rest of the Prep Girls Hoop staff, seek to cover the entire state of player, keeping subscribers up to date with player evaluations, recruiting info, and statewide news. Our audience often supplies us with some of our best information. If you have any information on players, teams, or statewide news in the state of Florida, emailing Michael Wholey at WholeyPrepHoops@gmail.com or DM him through Twitter or Instagram @WholeyPrepHoops.
