was an extremely talented player who could score going to the rim and was also effective in the midrange game. McFadden’s athleticism jumped off the chart and off the court. She ran the floor well and was a force in transition defense. McFadden was excellent at chasing down the player in transition and blocking the shot. She was also excellent on defense at protecting the rim. McFadden is a talented player who can score from anywhere on the floor, including shooting the three point shot.

The 5-11 rising junior small forward has continued to improve her game every time she steps onto the floor. McFadden plays with a ton of length and athleticism that people mistake her for a guard. McFadden plays exceptionally hard on both ends of the floor whether it’s finishing around the rim on the offensive end or battling for a rebound on the defensive end. McFadden helped lead St. Thomas Aquinas to their second consecutive state championship last season, as this year they will look to eye a third title.

McFadden simply got better and better each time I saw her throughout the high school season. Her build, length, and athleticism jump out at you immediately when you walk into the gym and realize she is just a sophomore. But watching her play and watching her progression and improvement, confirm my opinion that she has a chance to be special and one of the top prospects nationally. McFadden has bounce and a wingspan that you can’t teach and she uses it on both ends of the floor. She flies in from the wing to grab rebounds out of area, she gets tips and deflections on balls, and she drives to the rim and soars above her defenders to finish high up on the glass. Keep an eye on McFadden, St. Thomas Aquinas is back-to-back state champs, and if McFadden continues to progress in her game at the same rate, they are going to be a tough out of the next two years as well!

The 5-11 sophomore forward was a walking bucket in the semifinal game against Lake Gibson, scoring a game-high 27 points on 13-of-19 shooting from the field. Her aggressiveness towards the rim was the focal point and going against multiple defenders didn’t seem to phase McFadden much. In the championship game, McFadden finished with 15 points and 9 rebounds leading the Lady Raiders to their third consecutive state title. Her size and length created second chance opportunities on the offensive end.

The 6-0 wing plays hard and is active for a full 32 minutes, as well as play exceptionally well around the rim. McFadden averaged 12.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game during the regular season for the Lady Raiders. On the offensive end, she has a strong nose for the basket and attacks at a very high percentage. On the defensive end, she plays with a complete edge and can go get a rebound with the best of them with her superb athleticism.
