GameChangers At The PGH Legacy Classic

So many teams came in and did their thing, promoting a great mixture of healthy and competitive play. That is the only way I would be able to describe how [player_tooltip player_id='300797' first='Joycelyn' last='Moore'] felt in her first game on Saturday afternoon. She was consistently scoring the ball at all three levels, at a high and efficient rate. At one point during the contest she made an absurd spin move causing her to travel all the way across the lane, for an off-handed finish, while taking contact. That play just sums up how she was feeling. In this game and frankly all weekend Moore was a GameChanger. During her games this weekend on the 17U level she showed that she was a top 2 player on the floor at all times, usually not being #2. Her skillset is impressive for her age. It's seasoned, patient, and extremely confident. I think it says everything that during her first game of the tournament on Saturday morning, on the first play, she pulled up for a step-back three with a hand in her face and swished it. After that everything was just smooth-sailing for the combo guard, ending the game in a 1 point victory. When you look at the definition of GameChanger, Smith checked every box this weekend with how well she played and put on for her squad. One of the best being [player_tooltip player_id='314135' first='Kahlie' last='Hill'] of [program_tooltip program_id='712577' first='Iowa' last='Prep'] 2024 Platinum. Hill was excellent. She kept it simple and that was why her/her team was successful. A majority of the time she had a mismatch in the post and her teammates did a great job of feeding her consistently. In one game specifically she had around 20 points and 10 rebounds at the LEAST for her team, showing just how dominate she can be with her back to the basket. This [program_tooltip program_id='712577' first='Iowa' last='Prep'] 2024 Platinum team is solid and well-balanced but if you don't have an efficient post player then it can sometimes be tough against opposing programs, Hill has been that post player this Spring. She has shown that she can be the GameChanger in any contest she participates in. A player who has great size, speed, and IQ of the game, had it on full-display this weekend. Wether it was screening and rolling hard to the paint, posting up and working around the rim, rebounding over bigger players, or getting a stop on the defensive side of the ball, she was doing it all. Basically against all the competition I watched her face, she was successful at whatever she was doing, a majority of the time. In a number of games she was the outlying factor of why her team was able to put together the game that they did, coming out with a win. GameChangers is about players who changed the game for their team's this weekend and Allen did just that, on more than one occasion. One that was filled with clutch buckets, big stops, and a lot of emotion between her and her team. Pool, a quick-twitch shooting guard, is an overall prospect to know the name of. She does a little of everything for her team each game while leaving it all on the court. This weekend I saw her hit important shot after important shot, never letting her team down. These shots in a lot of ways were big-time GameChangers, as they kept her teams in the game or gave them the lead to finish the contest with a win. Poole should be proud.
