of Calamus-Wheatland High School. Hill stands at 6’3 and does WORK with her back to the basket. Something that I admire about her game is the ability to score in limited space, with limited dribbles and with limited time on the clock. If her team can get her the ball near the rim, with her back to hoop and some adequate timing, it’s most likely going to be a bucket for Hill. Defensively she is just as dominate. An individual that everyone needs to know about when attack their defender because if they don’t, it’ll end in a block party for Hill. This high school season I expect big numbers and games out of Hill before she finishes off her Senior season. Someone with this mixture of size and skill is a college level talent but in the end, I’m not so sure that’s what Hill wants. All in all, she is going to take care of business coming up here in a few weeks and that’s all that matters.

had one of the best seasons throughout all players this year in AAU ball, in the state Iowa, no matter the age level. Hill was effective down low, physical when she caught in the post, great with her footwork, and most importantly-extremely dominate near the rim. In every contest that I had the privilege of watching of Hills, she was her teams leader in rebounds and buckets in the paint. The only reason that Hill fell to the third team in this series of articles is not because of her body of work this spring/summer, but the personal match-up against the other two bigs that were placed before her in Jenkins, and Speiser. Hill did nothing wrong. Those two are just high-end Division-1 players and their level of domination against better competition this spring/summer was my overall deciding factor. I’m not sure if Hill wants to play college ball but if she does, I’m sure there is a school around that could use her height and talents at the next level. It just has to be the right fit.

makes not just a jump in this Players Rankings Update, but a catapult more-so. Hill goes all the way from #88 to #37 in this Update and for good reason. On several occasions this spring I have watched Hill on a much bigger stage. On this stage she has produced time and time again, showing that she understands her size at the center position to a T. Hill stands at around 6’2 and is productive. She works early in the paint, makes most of her attempts with her back to the basket, and knows what to do in specific situations. (Such as a pick and roll.) Looking forward to this winter and the high school season, with what i’ve seen this spring, Hill could be one of the best centers in the entire state of Iowa when it’s all said and done. She keeps herself dedicated to the grind and she is going to be a player I mention several times this upcoming high school season.

has impressed this spring with the work she is doing for her Iowa Prep 17U platinum team. Hill is a center with great size and knowledge of passing angles. She works mercilessly inside the paint to get in the right spot before the ball is even near her in the their offense. Defensively, she is a rim protector and does a great job of walling up against smaller/weaker players. If she continues to work hard and stay consistent, she will be getting even more interest than she already is, which I know currently is a good amount.

There were a few centers that had some very good weekends across all the age groups, during the Legacy Classic. One of the best being

2024 Platinum. Hill was excellent. She kept it simple and that was why her/her team was successful. A majority of the time she had a mismatch in the post and her teammates did a great job of feeding her consistently. In one game specifically she had around 20 points and 10 rebounds at the LEAST for her team, showing just how dominate she can be with her back to the basket. This
Iowa Prep
2024 Platinum team is solid and well-balanced but if you don’t have an efficient post player then it can sometimes be tough against opposing programs, Hill has been that post player this Spring. She has shown that she can be the GameChanger in any contest she participates in.

is poised to have a great spring and summer for an ultra-competitive Iowa Prep Platinum 17U team. Hill is a dominant presence in the middle that rebounds the ball really well on both sides of the floor. On defense she works to box out her opponent first and then go for the rebound, showing how fundamental she is. On offense she keeps a good amount of possessions alive while giving her team more opportunities to score. The dominate presence of this group in the middle is Hill. If she stays to be the defensive stopper she is, rebounds the ball well, and keeps it simple on offense, then she is in for a very successful spring/summer this season.

Presence in the middle for this team. Complete post player. Has had solid and constant production every year in high school while posting better numbers each season she has gotten older. Good passer who keeps her head up in the paint. Maybe best overall player on this team.
