Brown is a work horse on the boards and can leap out the gym. She is always around the basketball and uses her length to her advantage. A player that can score at the rim but also rebound with the best of them. She does all the little things which may not show up on the stat sheet. She was the difference maker for Archer and is hard to guard one on one.

Brown played with a lot of fire, passion, and energy and made several impressive plays for Archer. Brown’s athleticism is very obvious and was on full display as she sprinted the court from end to end defending the rim on defense and attacking the basket and glass on offense. Brown had one very impressive block and let out a yell that fired up her teammates and led to a small run for the Lady Tigers. In a game where everyone was playing as hard as they could, Mariah stood out with how hard she played. Her effort, activity, and enthusiasm were missed while she was out injured.

brought to Central Gwinnett. I had to do a double-take when I found out she was just a freshman. Mariah plays with immense energy. She’s athletic and long. Brown crashes the glass hard and never gives up on plays defensively, swatting shots and guarding inside and out. Her motor and versatility will help Central Gwinnett be one of the more athletic teams in the area.
