She has solidified her standing as one of the top players in North Carolina and continues to rise up the rankings on the national level. She is the extreme competitor who will do whatever it takes to win every time she steps on the court.  She is a shooter with a strong pull-up game. When she gets into her rhythm, there is nothing anyone can do to stop her as he she will light the nets on fire. She is physical and will fight through aggressive defenders who try to deny her the ball. As opponents send the double to get the ball out of her hands, she will simply use one of her many quick first-steps to attack the open lane. She has keen awareness and excellent court vision. She uses a combination of her quickness and physical stature to create space and get where she needs to go and facilitate the offense. She appears to always be one step ahead of her defender and is extremely difficult to guard.  Janiyah makes those rare basketball plays that you only see from the highest level of basketball players. She has the green light from her coach and rightfully so because good things just seem to happen when she has the ball in her hands. Ameya is an excellent ball handler who is lightening fast off the dribble. She can score with the best of them and had a few plays where she scored right over the outstretched arms of bigger defenders. She finishes well at the rim. She displayed the ability to play off the ball and proved she can not be left alone from deep as she knocked down a few high-pressure three pointers in a tightly contested game. It's not often you see a player accept the challenge of defending one of the best guards in the country, all while heavily contributing to her team's offense. Boston's name has been mentioned several times as a defensive specialist but her ability to run the PG position continues to improve as she constantly looks to get others involved. She was able knock down a few big three's this weekend, including a contested step-back 3, as her ability as a shooter is also trending up. There were several plays where she beat her opponent to the spot, cutting off penetration lanes and keeping everything outside of the paint. She can push the tempo when needed or she can play the half court game. She can be trusted in a variety of offensive sets which shows off her versatility at the position. She is the player coaches will trust to make the right decision on the floor. She has more than enough talent to get her buckets but she appeared to stay disciplined within the confines of the offense. She communicates effectively on the floor and has the speed to get by defenders. She is very strong defensively and will get in the face of her opponents. She can defend from end to end and has the lateral quickness to stay in front of opponents. Very fast. When you watch her play, you start to wonder how she is able to get from point A to point B so quickly. She is an extreme worker who will compete on both ends. There were multiple plays where she beat her opponents down the floor in transition to stop easy layups. She did a great job as a facilitator, drawing in the defense with her quickness in the lane and finding her teammates for open looks. She doesn't hesitate with the ball in the her hands which makes her tough to defend. She can score in a variety of ways including off the catch or from pulling. She has a high arching release which makes her shots difficult to block.
