Jaida McClure Jaida McClure 5'9" | PG Providence Day | 2026 State NC is such a sure bet from deep hitting her shots from around the perimeter no matter what hands are in her way. She did well getting her hands in the way on defense anticipating what her opponents were going to try to get going on offense. She did a sensational job driving to the basket, drawing defenders towards her, and making the dish inside. She was even crashing boards grabbing rebounds.

Jaida McClure Jaida McClure 5'9" | PG Providence Day | 2026 State NC has the arm of a quarterback hitting the long pass all the way up the court for some points on fast breaks. She plays with the same composure every game no matter what’s going on making sure her teammates stay calm, too. She knows how to slide in front of her opponents as they drive to the basket drawing a charge to get the possession back. She does a great job directing her teammates where to go thinking a couple steps ahead of everyone else.

Combo guard who is great with the ball in her hands. She makes good decisions when to pass and when to keep the ball to score. Often leads the break with a “long ball” pass to open teammates for easy transition points. She can get downhill with ease and finish at the rim. Also, has a mid-range game that is unstoppable. She has committed to Appalachian State University and will be a key factor for Providence Day.

Jaida McClure Jaida McClure 5'9" | PG Providence Day | 2026 State NC is returning to Providence Day bringing her sharp shooting from all over the court (literally). She is patient and well composed no matter what is going on in the game using her ball handling to find the openings creating her own space. She’s special with the ball in her hands, and she knows how to move without the ball to shift the defense and cause many problems. She’s tough on the other end being aggressive knowing how to pick the pocket of her opponents.

Jaida McClure Jaida McClure 5'9" | PG Providence Day | 2026 State NC came right in hitting back to back buckets, one from deep and one banking it in from the paint. She moves well with the ball finding the opening, and she knows how to get into open space looking for the pass. She was doing a nice job finding her open teammates in the paint. Her ability to drop long passes right into the hands of her teammates flashing up the court is definitely fun to watch. Her ball fakes running at full speed are certain to get a play going for her team.

Jaida McClure was handling the ball and scoring a lot of buckets for her team. Her first points came from a nice step back three pointer giving her team a lot of energy. She takes advantage of any misstep from her opponent to drive to the hoop. She had a nice reverse layup rolling the ball off her fingertips finding the open lane and creating her own space.

Jaida McClure has a strong shot from all around the arc, and she is a leader for her teams getting things going on the offensive side of the ball. She has a finesse with the ball getting to the rim finishing on both sides. Her IQ is apparent on the defensive side of the ball, too, jumping in front of passes to grab the steal.

Jaida McClure Jaida McClure 5'9" | PG Providence Day | 2026 State NC is an outstanding guard with fantastic court vision. She is also exceptional at reading ball screens. When a post sets a screen for McClure, she can score at the rim or she can drop a perfect pass to her post player. McClure can also get to the foul line or shoot behind the screen. She is a skilled sophomore who led Providence Academy to a monster win over Wesleyan Christian Academy. In that contest, McClure scored 17 points while shooting over 50% from the floor and draining 71% of her free throw attempts.

Jaida continues to be a top performing guard that tops the list of high performers anytime she plays the game. She is the engine that makes this team go and can handle a heavy offensive load. She is just so good at analyzing the defense and consistently looks for ways to get her teammates involved. When she wants to attack the lane, she is like a bowling ball that can not be stopped. Overall she is a player I believe the recruitment must pick up for as she can certainly be in a wide variety of offensive systems and adjust to whatever her coach wants her to run.

Jaida will have you scratching your head wondering how she is able to move on the court the way she does at her size. She has very nimble feet and defenders have difficulty staying in front of her when she lowers her body with a head of steam. She is excellent at directing traffic on the court and knows where everyone is supposed to be. She has well-above average passing abilities and she has a unique feel for the game. Though Jaida is a terrific scorer when she needs to be, she appears to embrace getting her teammates involved and doing what she needs to in order for them to get easy baskets. Terrific all-around true PG.
