Tree of Hope Elite 17U – Nike Tournament of Champions

They finished 5-1 in the tournament of champions, only losing to the team who won it. She has some nice offensive skills. She is a post player but had a Euro step on the break in traffic for a bucket. She has a nice power dribble and goes up strong on the block. She rebounds well and is a good athlete. She shoots free throws at a high level. She has good hands and can put the ball on the deck with a few dribbles to get to the basket. She can rebound well, timing her jump and going to get it. She is strong and holds her position on the block. She blocks shots well and can guard any position on the floor. She is able to contribute in every facet of the game. She appeared to be one of the best athletes on the floor at all times when I was watching. That type of size and skill is a rare combo. She is a slashing type guard with elite level speed up the floor. She can get out in transition and score with the best of them using her speed and creativity around the hoop. She is capable of being a lock down defensive player on the perimeter, where she can play either guard spot but is more of a two. Her mid-range game is excellent. If she becomes a knock-down shooter from three, it will benefit her and push her to the top tier guard list in the state. She can play on the perimeter as a wing, or take care of business in the paint. She rebounds and runs the floor extremely well. She is capable of being elite defensively as a player who can take on guards or post players. She has some added ability to score,mostly with tough drives to the left, using good footwork and length in the paint. She took care of the ball well in full court pressure situations and shows some good basketball IQ. She is a decent shooter who should develop into a scorer when she gets back to high school ball.
