Naomi first makes big plays on the defensive side of the ball, setting the tone for the game right from the beginning. She causes havoc for opposing guards and creates many turnovers which lead to many easy buckets in transition. Senato finds her open teammates well as the point guard of the team, excelling in the pick and roll game.

The senior guard made a ton of plays with her pressure defense that led to a couple of breakaway buckets, but she also was ready to leak out when her teammates forced turnovers and was constantly beating players down the court for layup after layup. Even when she wasn’t getting steals, she was tipping passing and disrupting the offense’s rhythm.

#14 – I was able to watch her over the summer in person. She was impressive with the speed she plays with. She is quick on defense. She can get to the basket. She gets lots of buckets in the open floor, some of which are tough ones that require a skill-set that not many have. Her mid game and floaters are on point. She has the ability to impact the game on the defensive side of the ball on every possession with quick hands and quick feet. She is a ball hawk and once It she gets it, good luck catching up with her.

Naomi has had a great AAU season with Tree of Hope 17U Elite. She helped her team to a gold bracket championship at the Nike tournament of champions in Chicago. She continues to get better as a guard who has elite quickness and speed in the open floor. She is a high level defender. She anticipates well and gets up into ball handling guards, forcing turnovers. Once she gets the ball, she is at her best with the open floor speed. She is a downhill player in the half court using the quickness to blow by the defense. She is starting to pull in offers. I expect she will be getting more soon.

Naomi is another athletic player at the guard position. She is a slashing type guard with elite level speed up the floor. She can get out in transition and score with the best of them using her speed and creativity around the hoop. She is capable of being a lock down defensive player on the perimeter, where she can play either guard spot but is more of a two. Her mid-range game is excellent. If she becomes a knock-down shooter from three, it will benefit her and push her to the top tier guard list in the state. She’s not far off now.rn

How do you think your AAU & HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?rn-My AAU Summer was a blast! I traveled to many states where I played against tough competition, which made my team closer as a unit, and helped me grow individually as a player! My HS summer league consisted of one tournament. I saw major growth in my game as well as my teammates. It was easy to see where we improved since last school season. As we played through each game in the tournament, we adapted to our new strengths individually and as a team getting us to the championship game. The way my team finished the tournament, has me convinced that this incoming year is definitely gonna be an exciting experience for us. I can see us achieving even more than last years run.
What are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel at–Things about my game and what I bring to my team is the mentality to keep calm in tough situations, and to find ways to get the ball through the basket the best way it can. I am a competitor that has learned through many years of playing that there is always a chance to come back from any deficit if you believe in yourself and trust your teammates.
What are you looking for in a school beyond HS?rn-My interests in schools go beyond the fact of just wanting the best team in the area. I would like to go to a school that will help me develop my game and my character on and off the court. I want a team that is close/family oriented. I would like to go somewhere that I am needed. I want to help the team win! I want to be that missing puzzle piece that will put the team together.
Have you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?rn-I’ve had contact with many Coach’s but these are the ones I’ve been going back and forth with such as, Judson University, Colorado College, New Mexico highlands university, Eastern Wyoming college, Rocky Mountain college, Wheaton college, Pacific ‘ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”] Lutheran university.
What do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?rn-Before stepping into the next level I would like to improve my body’s stamina, but also get it to the stage of which my body can handle the contact that comes with college basketball. I would like My body’s frame to get bigger and stronger before it can lead me to my next step.

Naomi is relentless on the defensive side of the ball. She plays with a ton of energy and it rubs off to her teammates. She plays tight man defense and moves her feet very quickly to stay in front of the offensive player. She’s a player who I could see rise on everyone’s radar throughout the summer and next season.

Played on a talented team in Emerald Ridge this season. She is a player who could have a big season next year with the graduation of several players. She is a complete player who can score well from all levels. I was impressed with her skill level watching her this summer.

She is a skilled and smooth player with a lot of room to grow. She is athletic and tends to make tough plays look easy at times. She is great in the open floor and can finish well around the hoop with the crafty, and the newly patented wrong foot finish. She can shoot, and she plays good defense with that athletic ability. I would say that her ability to get to the basket stood out as one of her greatest strengths. She also had a few breakaway layups that were contested, only she was able to finish as I described above. Really high upside for this young player, who just looks like a basketball player with that athletism. She is able to convert tough shots on a consistent basis and has good ball handling skills to set that up. She looked impressive in the games I watched.
