These girls showed us they can play and are worthy of garnering some type of scholarship to play college basketball on a big stage. Coaches were in attendance and they watched as well as these girls played hard for the scouts in the building watching. Here is a list of 2024s that stood out to us as we watched, evaluations are below…
2024, 5’9, PG, Lynnwood HS (WA), Aniya Hooker Aniya Hooker 5'9" | CG Lynnwood | 2024 State WA – crafty guard with some wiggle to her game, she attacks with a purpose and is able to make plays on the floor for herself and others. Nice strike from the three point line, nice follow thru on her shot, the mark of a good shooter in our opinion.
2024, 6’1, PF, Lynnwood HS (WA), Kayla Lorenz – solid wing with a nice face up game, she gets to spots on the floor to score. She is an able rebounder and a good defender in the paint. We love her the way she displays her tenacity on the floor, she looks like she just loves to play this game.
2024, 5’6, PG, Sumner HS (WA), Lainee Houillon Lainee Houillon 5'7" | PG Sumner | 2024 State WA – crafty guard that can finish with either hand. She can put the ball on the floor and attack the basket, but was able to finish difficult shots in traffic. Knocked down a couple of nice jumpers at the free throw line off the pull-up. She kept the pressure on the defense as we watched her play the game, she got paint touches and was always a threat to score the ball.
2024, 5’10, SF, Bothell HS (WA), McKylee Hawkins – solid body wing, with a nice face up game, utilizes the pump fake to free up herself for a face up jumper. Solid body with some athleticism to boot. Triple threat to an open jumper with a hand in her face, splash. This kid gave us a good feeling about her game, she had great size for a guard/forward, but we loved her spirit on the floor and the way she played really hard.
