A 6’0 combo guard, Lily Fisher Lily Fisher Lily Fisher 6'0" | CG Libertyville | 2027 State IL made an impact on both ends of the floor in her games against Kenwood Academy and Normal West. Offensively, she attacked the basket with confidence, finishing multiple drives to the basket while displaying the ability to create opportunities for her teammates in transition. Defensively, her active hands stood out more than any other part of her game, especially against Kenwood Academy. No pass was safe around her and she routinely snagged the ball directly from opponents’ hands on rebounds. Overall, Fisher played like a triple threat – a playmaker, rebounder, and disruptive defender.

Lily consistently performed at a high level all weekend for Team Prime Nation 17U at the PGH Great Lakes Region Finals. It felt like the harder the competition got, the better she played, elevating her game against the best. Lily competed with a non-stop motor, working equally hard on both ends of the floor. She demonstrated outstanding balance, footwork, finesse, and strength during her drives to the basket. Lily evaded a defender with a quick high pick-up and went up off two feet for the layup. She scored a sweet fake pass finish and showed off her athleticism with an emphatic two-handed wall-up block. Lily worked hard to defend inside and on the perimeter, deflecting passes and creating many steals. She delivered a complete performance in the Gold Championship Game. Lily converted a tough stretch layup on a speedy drive by, penetrated off the dribble, kicked the ball out to open shooters, and blocked a shot away with authority. She put on a footwork clinic in the paint after swiping the ball away, spinning and pivoting to score a floater through a foul, completing the three-point play at the line. Lily ran through a pass up top, accelerated straight downhill, leaped up, changed hands in mid-air, and put the acrobatic layup through the bottom of the net. She finished strong through contact, drove to the basket with determination to earn trips to the line, knocked down free throws with confidence, and fought tooth and nail to secure rebounds. Lily’s endless motor, length, athleticism, two-way impact, and elite skill set were impressive to watch. She has received recognition as All-Tournament First Team.

Fisher is the No. 1 combo guard in Illinois, showed exactly why on Day 2 making things look easy. Her professionalism is real, she simply went out and handled business. What stood out most was her defensive intensity it is rare to see a player of her caliber take pride in getting after it on that end of the floor. I’m looking forward to more opportunities to catch her in live games.

From a physical standpoint, Fisher is beyond her years, and you can tell when she plays. There is not much struggle for her to get to the rim, and when she does, she usually finishes with ease. Her IQ and passing ability are still at the top of her skill set, and those decisions are quick and made without hesitation.

Fisher is an interesting prospect. She might be one of those players who can have a leap in her game at the next level, especially for a program that needs a playmaking scorer. She can put up 15/5/5 on average without breaking a sweat. There’s another notch to her game, and some of it has been on display this month.

One of the more versatile and true combo guards in her class. Fisher can truly score at will.. but has shown the ability to serve as a playmaker first, rather than necessarily force the offense. There’s another gear that she can tap into, which is scary, seeing how good she is now.

Fisher has the skillset of a D1 player, and there’s truly not much she can’t do from an offensive standpoint. She’s naturally a player who likes to get everyone around her going, but has the dominant switch that she can turn on to get things done herself. She plays tough, but smooth, and can truly average a double-double, and more than likely get a couple triple triple-doubles this season as well. (4A)

Fisher is one of those prospects who honestly could get better at the next level based on her style of play. For most of the year, she’s a do it all kid for her team, being the number one option on both ends, and for the other months (AAU) out of the year, she goes in and out of secondary and primary (depending on the matchup). In both roles, she’s impactful and dominant. If you’re a coach, this is intriguing, and this could be a good sign that this kid might continue to get better as the people around her get better.

The Illinois Wolverinas went 1-1 on Day 1 of Pool play. Someone that was a constant for them in both contests was CG/SF – Lily Fisher Lily Fisher Lily Fisher 6'0" | CG Libertyville | 2027 State IL . Fisher scored around 15-17 points in both her teams contest today and she made some timely buckets when she needed to. Some buckets to keep her team in it for the most part. Offensively, Fisher had a nice bag but she can also kill with size next to the hoop with a smaller defender matched up. Defensively, her combination of size, athletic ability, and natural awareness help her stand out on that end. It also gives her the ability to switch in a lot of situations. Which is always a plus. It’s going to get really interesting as we move into Saturday night. If Wolverinas win against Kia Kurse they will secure the 2 seed in their bracket going into Saturday evening.

There’s a ton of interest from D1 coaches when it comes to Lily, and it’s understandable. She has all the physical tools to be an impactful college player. As her skillset sharpens and her ability to play different positions becomes apparent, this kid could be pulling in some P5 offers by the end of her junior year.
