GYBC All American Camp: NC Standouts Part II

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>GYBC hosted their All American camp last weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina.&nbsp; Athletes came from all across the country to show why they should be considered some of the top athletes in their class.&nbsp; North Carolina was well represented at the event as we have already discussed a handful of these standouts.&nbsp; Let's proceed with the next round of NC athletes that caught my eye.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":738809,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2023/08/Sydnee-Woolard-copy-rotated-crop-3024x1986-1691788181.jpg?w=800" alt="" class="wp-image-738809" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sydnee Woolard - 5'9” 2027</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Woolard had some nice moves in the paint getting the ball at the elbow and attacking the basket.&nbsp; She can take it all the way herself or make the dish as she drew extra defenders her way.&nbsp; She did a nice job rebounding the ball on both ends.&nbsp; Her ability to track down long rebounds was definitely an asset for her team.&nbsp; She didn't back down from contact going to battle for her points.&nbsp; On defense, she was blocking shots in the paint protecting the basket.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":738812,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2023/08/Sophie-Montana-copy-rotated-crop-3024x1986-1691788434.jpg?w=800" alt="" class="wp-image-738812" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1120329' first='Sophie' last='Montana'] - 5'3” 2028</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Montana found the opening and showed off her stroke from deep.&nbsp; She did a nice job attacking the gaps drawing defenders to make the dish to her teammates underneath the basket.&nbsp; She was consistent moving well with the ball hitting her open teammates for their own points.&nbsp; Her handles were nice wearing down her defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":738815,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2023/08/Lily-Temple-copy-rotated-crop-3024x1986-1691788551.jpg?w=800" alt="" class="wp-image-738815" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1318909' first='Lily' last='Temple'] - 5'7” 2028</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Temple had a nice take throwing a fake pointing as if she was getting a screen and going the other direction creating space and taking advantage of no help defense as she got to the basket for two.&nbsp; She did a nice job pushing the tempo trying to catch her defenders off guard as she found her open teammates up the court.&nbsp; She's a high motor guard who knows how to get downhill and score some points.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":738817,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2023/08/Ahnala-Temple-copy-rotated-crop-3024x1986-1691788614.jpg?w=800" alt="" class="wp-image-738817" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ahnala Temple - 5'4 2029</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Temple was always getting the ball in her hands on offense, and you certainly knew why with the way she showed off her handles on the court.&nbsp; She was getting around her defenders weaving her way to the basket finishing off the glass.&nbsp; You can tell she already sees the floor so well knowing how to make plays and facilitate an offense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
