Expert Analysis
Evan Bell | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Long, physical, and skilled, Olivia’s tape jumps out. She finishes in traffic with both hands and absorbs contact well in the paint. Olivia can score with her back to the basket or face up and attack off the dribble. She protects the rim as a shot blocker and can step outside to hit threes. Olivia looks like a talented 6-footer to follow at the PGH MI College Tour III with IL Lady Lightning 17U P24.

What King brings to her program is a strong amount of versatility and skill to fill whatever role is required of her for that specific possession. Personally, the off ball IQ and awareness have been the most impressive for me. She knows when to release and cut, how to relocate for a better angle, and on the defensive end, her instincts and length make her a major problem in the passing lanes. Overall, this kid is a hell of a player and can bring a lot to a program.

King has the length, athleticism, and skill to be a focal point on both ends of the court, especially the defensive side. Her frame allows her to guard both the perimeter and the paint, and for the heavy ball-handling guards or forwards, she can cause a lot of frustration. Offensively, she’s not afraid to let it go from the outside and shows that in both the open court and on the drive, she has the right set of moves to get where she needs to go. A player to definitely watch this HS season.

Being one of the more versatile players on her high school program, Olivia will provide an impact for them on both sides of the floor. Offensively, she finds her way to the rim and can stretch the court off a set shot. On the defensive side of the ball, her length helps with guarding both guards and posts. She can defend the paint or slow down players on the perimeter.
