Tonia Ziter | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Skylie was the 6A Player of the Year and showed us why this year. She led her team in points and rebounds and has a way on the floor that is sneaky. She isn’t super flashy, but was consistent and lit up the stat sheet. Sky now holds the record for her high school in points and assists. She will be playing at USU Eastern this fall

Barker is another player that had a phenominal high school career. She was one of the best downhill players as she managed to get to her right or left and finish with speed using the glass a lot. Her shooting from deep was timely as well. When it comes to all-around stat stuffer she is one of the best in the state.

When she got downhill she was great and at times she had to go to a secondary move and as long as she was close to the rim she found ways to get a shot off or get to the free-throw-line.

Barker recently became the All-Time leading scorer in school history at Copper Hills with a solid 34 point performance. Her shooting ability, her attacking the basket and three-level scoring has been on display all season long and even for the past 4 years. Barker is a take what you give her player and she could really get things rolling in a hurry with that downhill approach as she averages 8+ free-throws a game.
Barker is among the best help side defenders and rebounders in the state. She is going to be solid at the right program next season.

Barker is an intriguing player that can play different positions. She can be on the ball as a guard that can create. She is a good shooter and be a SG. Her strength defending 4’s is great and her ability to defend 1-4 at the high school levels shows more of that versatility. Could be a great NJCAA get or a LM D1 kid.

Barker had a huge game as she was feeling her way through the defense and taking her time and finding moments to attack or shoot. She was solid from deep and even when she did not get to the rim she was able to find cutters or hit some tough midrange shpts. Defensively she did a good job most of the game as an on ball defender and help side defender as well.

With quick defender and physical defender after defender Barker finally adjusted as she was being denied her right hand she finally decided to just take it to the left and when her teammates cleared out for her she was able to get to the rim and use the glass with her soft touch. Barker was clutch when they needed her to be. Excited for whatever program ends up signing her. She still has room to grow and refine her skills.
