About Riley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a left handed center or power forward. I can attack the rim and get your basket, as well as making shots outside on the perimeter.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I know that all the work I put in will pay off eventually. I continue to push myself each day. Getting better in each work. I know when I’m on the court it’s me vs me. The only things I’m worried about is how I play. I’m worried about my teammates myself who I play against other then that I’m locked in and only listening to things on the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

At my school I got multiple awards, like excellence in Spanish, and history. I’m on school council and lettered in volleyball.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I feel as though playing basketball has put a big impact on me being a leader. I love pushing myself each teammates to their fullest potential and I love seeing them succeed.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

When I played on my first AAU team it was actually a boys team. I remember when I first joined the coach asked me (his name was Coach Z) how far do you want to get with basketball, I said college level, he said what college I said UCLA. He said “we’re gonna get you there” he sadly passed away months later. But I’m going to get there for him! That’s my WHY!

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college or team that is competitive but has a good family feel. I want one where I can bring something to the team!

Greenwood could be a force this coming season. She has length but her wingspan is what sets her apart inside. Greenwood will be on the floor a lot and she will be able to rack up a block or two almost every game. She is a solid rebounder and plays a physical brand of basketball.

Greenwood is an intriguing prospect. She has skills and athleticism but playing on a team with a loaded roster will likely push her out a year from getting varsity minutes. She has a chance to continue to develop her perimeter skills. With her size an more added perimeter skills she could really make things happen and she has upside for sure.
