Class of 2022: Point Guards to Know

Moving along with updated rankings coverage for the 2022 class, I will now focus on the point guard position. The point guard is the most important position on the floor on both sides of the ball. They have the ball in their hands the majority of the offensive possession and they defend the other team's most ball dominant player. PG's that can get it done on both sides of the floor are highly valued at every level. Here are some names to be aware of in the 2022 class moving forward! Point Guards to know: 5'6 PG Aniyah Heavens (Pasco HS) *Feature image 5'8 PG Dylan Phillip (Ellensburg HS) 5'6 PG Jazmyn Stone (Annie Wright) 5'7 PG Olivia Moore (Mead HS) 5'8 PG Kyla Momberg (Mead HS) 5'7 PG Rosa Smith (Lake Washington HS)   Overall Analysis: The point guard position is solid for the 2022 class. The guards mentioned above are a solid mixture of skill and scrappiness. Some college coaches (not all) have gotten very picky about the size of their point guards and will not even recruit one below 5'9. That being said, there is still plenty of opportunity for these girls, especially if they can consistently show the ability to get it done on both sides of the ball. Aniyah Heavens is probably getting the most college attention at this stage and Dylan Phillip put her name on the map this summer as well. Jazmyn Stone has been a well-known PG in the area for some time and I look for her to start reeling in offers sooner or later. Olivia Moore is on multiple Division 1 school's radar due to her shot making ability and ball handling. Kyla Momberg is the sleeper here and most people in Washington don't know about her yet, because she moved over from Montana. She can really play and her sister is a senior that is committed to Montana.
