Golly bum I enjoyed watching this kid play. She was so smart: seemingly always making the correct pass, backdoor cut, screen way, etc. Her offensive IQ was off the charts, and it was really obvious that Bella Mullins Bella Mullins 5'7" | SG Upperman | 2024 State TN had turned herself into an extension of her head coach to those that watched Upperman win the state tournament.

A top not athlete with superior end to end speed. Early on, she recieved and outlet and went coast to coast with it winning a footrace vs virtually everyone on the floor. Mullins athlecism helps her fill her role perfectly. Her job is to defend her tail off; keep the opposing offense rattled; keep the ball moving on offense and push the pace fast! She does all this exceptionally well. Really high-end role player…and Mullins is (in my opinion) the type of under covered role player that often sneakily wins you a postseason game in March.

Mullins looked smooth all tournament long. She’s a really high IQ player that knows how to star in her role on this Upperman team. She’s a connector that makes winning plays: she makes the right pass, doesn’t force the issue, knocks down open shots, and defends with passion. Mullins is the type of role player that takes teams from good to great.
