With the girls’ basketball season already into week #5, I wanted to highlight a handful of uncommitted 2025s who have had big starts to their Junior campaigns. Below is a quick look at five members of the 2025 class who have gotten out of the gates quickly to begin the 2023-2024 season.

, 2025, 5-3 PG, Avon H.S.
– Smith is always a fun watch, as she is an electric little guard who does a phenomenal job of running offense and creating for herself or open teammates. This season, she has turned into a much bigger scorer, averaging 25.2 points per game through six games, including 39 points last night in a win. She is averaging 32.0 points per game over her last four games.

– Clarke is a nice, strong, fairly athletic forward who brings back a traditional sense of the term “power” forward. She likes to play closer to the block and use her size & strength to score it inside. She’s an effective box-out rebounder, and she can defend the interior. At the same time, she has worked on her face-up skill and can play around the perimeter when needed.

, 2025, 6-0 F, Greenfield-Central H.S.
– Sonsini transferred into Greenfield from Richmond this season, and it has paid dividends for the Cougars, as they are off to their best start (6-2) since the 2015-2016 season. She has size, strength, and solid athleticism, but she is also skilled and versatile, with a nice shot from the outside. She is averaging 15.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game through six games.

Cathedral | 2025
State

, 2025, 5-7 G, Cathedral H.S.
– I really like Wilson’s all-around game, and this year for Cathedral she has nearly doubled her scoring average early on, averaging 15.2 points per game. She is a really nice athlete, she has the skill and understanding to play point guard and run offense, plus she is a very good shooter and does a nice job off the ball of knowing when to shoot and when to attack.
Jayde Pryor, 2025, 5-9 F, Tri-Township H.S.
– Jayde is a lesser-known prospect, and she has sort of come out of nowhere for Tri-Township, giving the Tigers another scoring threat. She plays alongside two veteran Senior guards, but she is still leading the team with 15.2 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 4.0 steals per game. She has really nice length and a wiry frame, plus she moves well in most directions.
