Dakota Nap Dakota Nap 6'0" | CG Hazen | 2024 State WA – Hazen HS
Dakota recently committed to Weber State, a D1 school. She has a very smooth jumper and can pull up for mid-range shots with ease. She does a great job at getting to the rim and finishing through traffic. Nap plays elite defense too, moving her feet well and having a solid wingspan. What stands out to me most is her deep shot, she doesn’t much space to get her shot off.
Maddy Weaver Maddy Weaver 6'2" | C Puyallup | 2024 State WA – Puyallup HS
Maddy is a FORCE down low. Not many players matchup against her and she dominates the glass each and every night. There’s very, very few nights where she doesn’t drop a double-double which is insanely impressive. She’s a big time difference maker for her team and I’m surprised there wasn’t more colleges trying to land her skills, but Chaminade University landed a gem for their program next season.
Haylee Johnson Haylee Johnson 5'10" | SG Kennewick | 2024 State WA – Kennewick HS
Haylee is a player who can score at all three levels smoothly and is a top overall scorer in the 2024 class. She just recently passes the impressive 1,000 points scored, which is always very impressive for athletes to do. She drops roughly 18-20 each time she steps on the court so opposing teams try to game-plan for her, but she is able to adjust and still get her buckets.
Mikah Hammerquist Mikah Hammerquist 5'4" | PG North Creek | 2024 State WA – North Creek HS
Mikah is one of the best three point shooters in the entire state. She made 40% of her attempts last season while sinking roughly 80 threes. She shoots at a high volume but can easily drop 5/6+ threes any given night. She changes speed very well and facilitates the offense to a high level. She pushes the pace of the game well and forces opposing teams to play at her speed. She has been playing extremely well during this season.
Makayla Heaton Makayla Heaton 5'8" | CG Squalicum | 2024 State WA – Squalicum HS
Makayla is a big part of the Storm team. Her and Mari Binning Mari Binning 5'8" | CG Squalicum | 2024 State WA are the leaders of the team, as they play off each other very well too. Heaton scores well off the dribble, being able to drive and get to the bucket with either hand. She has a soft touch around the rim and has a consistent jumper. Heaton has been improving each game.
