This past week was the first time that the 2024 McDonalds All-American Nominees were announced for this year's upcoming game. On this list, there are 5 potential prospects named between the states of Iowa and Nebraska . In this article we are going to cover all five of those athletes, the outlook on the rest of their Senior seasons, and what their futures may hold at the next level.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
<!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["246101"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"You have heard a lot about the Johnston Dragons this winter because of their elite roster. A team that is currently ranked as a Top 25 team throughout the country, is held together by their upperclassmen leadership. One of those leaders is [player_tooltip player_id='246101' first='Aaliyah' last='Riley']. Riley is a u0022do-it herselfu0022 type guard. She plays with an unmatchable tenacity on both sides of the floor and doesn't take losing lightly. Riley has been a star the past 3 years for this Dragons program and that hasn't changed one bit this season. She has been scoring in bunches or getting others involved, dominating her 1v1 matchups, and she is leading this team with her actions. When you have a star-studded roster, it takes someone with a powerful voice and selfless demeanor to keep everyone in check. Riley does a good job of that. The Dragons are 5A favorites to win it all this season and if they do so, a big reason is going to be because of the play of Riley. She is a next-level competitor and one of the best the state has to offer out of this 2024 Class in Iowa. Once this season comes to an end, she will be taking her talents to Northwest Missouri State to continue on her basketball journey. A place where I'm sure she is going to be able to thrive. ","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["246099"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Over the past couple of seasons we have seen [player_tooltip player_id='246099' first='Callie' last='Levin'] flourish right before our eyes. Levin has always been a player with a high ceiling on the basketball court but over these past few years, her production on the high school floor has been second-to-none throughout the state. She has put up eye-opening stat lines, she has demonstrated that she can produce on and off of the ball, and she has always been a great teammate to the others around her. This season she has been doing exactly what you'd expect. She is setting up others for success, scoring from all three levels, defending with discipline, and her team is winning because of it. As of most recent, Levin broke her program's 3-point record for total makes. This is an awesome accolade I'm sure she will remember for the rest of her life. Following this season, she will suit up for the top ranking Iowa Hawkeyes. I'm not sure of how the Hawkeye's roster is going to look by the time we get to next season but if Levin continues to work on her game, she is going to be someone we could hear about at Iowa over the next couple of years.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["314117"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='314117' first='Brooklyn' last='Love'] is going to take her talents and suit up next season with the D2 - Newman Jets follwing her career at Waterloo West High School. Love has length, toughness, athleticism, and awareness. She makes good choices every time she touches the rock and she doesn't ever try to do too much. Over the past 3 years, we have heard a lot about Love and her play-style. She has been a constant producer on whatever team she is lacing up with and that has been on full display this winter to finish out her last year of high school ball. Love has all the intangibles you want in a player. When you combined everything she brings to the floor and think about the production she could have around other talented individuals, you start to understand why she was a nominee for this event. At the end of the day, no matter if she wins a spot on this roster or not, this is something she should be proud of. The players who make this list are considered the best of the best across America and that is something not everyone can say. ","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["246121"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='246121' first='Aili' last='Tanke'] needs no introduction. One of the state's premier players and shooters over the past three seasons, has been highly ranked as the #1 player out of her 2024 Class for a few years now and for good reason. Tanke is an offensive juggernaut and someone that has EATEN on the high school floor. She is great at shooting the ball with her balanced and coordinated shooting stroke, she has size to take smaller mismatches into the post usually ending in a successful move going over either shoulder, and she can defend the 2-4 positions. I've had the chance to see Tanke compete a countless number of times and no matter the team she is on, the opponent she is playing, or situation she is playing the game in, she is going to produce. I've seen it both in high school and on the travel floor against some of the best competition in the country on the EYBL circuit. Out of the 4 players listed from the state of Iowa in this conversation, Tanke is the only player who has been recently ranked in the Top 100 by ESPNW at 97. I'm not sure if that is going to be enough to get her on the court in this one but it definitely doesn't hurt her chances. No matter the fact, following this season Tanke is going to take her talents to the Cyclones program. Something I'm sure she is excited about. ","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["276503"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Honestly, I would be shocked if [player_tooltip player_id='276503' first='Britt' last='Prince'] didn't make this team after being nominated. Prince is a Top 25 Player in the country according to ESPNW and she has been for some time now. All I can say is Prince is the real deal. She can do it all from the Guard position at a high rate. This is the type of player that comes into a P5 program and see's the floor as a Freshman. I'm not sure if that is going to be the case exactly but I am going to assume it is with the Huskers next year. Just like everyone else in this article, as soon as Prince laces up her shoes, it's game on. She is always ready to put on a show and she strives to continue to become better in her off-time. There isn't much more to be said about her game that hasn't been touched on already throughout the past few weeks. Her game speaks for itself. If you have a chance to see her in this specific game or at the high school level with her Elkhorn North team, do it. You won't be disappointed.
