Phelps and the Lady War Eagles will look to make another run for a Class 2A State Championship come next month. Karlee feels very comfortable playing face-up at times on the floor and setting up on the perimeter. She can put the ball on the deck at times and handle when needed. Karlee is currently 7.8 ppg and 5.2 rebounds this season for Gray Collegiate (13-7).
Franks is back in the middle this season at J.L. Mann HS. She played last season at Quality Education Academy in North Carolina. The left-handed Franks can create space and look to post up hard down low on the block. She will be used as a mover-screener at times on the floor.
Harvey is currently averaging 10.7 ppg and 7.6 rebounds for the Lady Blazers. Anasia understands where her bread is buttered and that’s down in the paint. She keeps the ball up when claiming it off the glass. Harvey will play with her back to the basket but, she can step-out to the short corner for a occasional jumper.
Highlights
Young is a bit of an unknown in the Upstate with the Lady Raiders. She’s currently averaging a double-double this season at 13.1 ppg and 10.4 rebounds a game. Young moves very well around the floor and really looks to challenge shots on the defensive end. She is a long and rangy athlete who will only get better with a strong off season on the Grassroots Circuit.
Claxton is a left-handed forward for the Lady Lions. She has good length and a willingness to want to play face-up to the basket. Carmyn is the youngster sister of Brooklyn Nets player Nic Claxton. She moves well on the floor and at times seems to be a better fit on the defensive end of the floor. Claxon needs to work on her offensive game down the road.
Chambers feels very comfortable putting the ball on the deck and taking a few dribbles to the cup from the top of the key. The long and rangy forward prefers to play face-up and sit out on the perimeter for the Lady Cyclones. Perry must get stronger down the road for the next level to battle through contact. She has the Lady Cyclones currently at (13-7) on the season.
Highlights
McCain started off her career at nearby Fox Creek HS before coming over to North Augusta HS as a sophomore. Madison is currently averaging 9.3 ppg and 6.8 rebounds this season for the Lady Yellow Jackets (17-5) in Class 4A. She currently is shooting 49% (66-134) from the floor this season. McCain likes to play physical down in the pain and has no problems playing on contact for Head Coach Al Young.
