About Jameson
Expert Analysis
Patosha Jeffery | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Versatile Guard/Forward. Listed at 6’0, she is a nice size player with a solid frame that plays either guard or forward role. She stretches the floor with her 3 point shooting and can attack for a pull up.

Jameson has an excellent all-around game. Do not let her size at 6’0 deceive you because she can do a little bit of everything as a forward. She is strong enough and does not mind physicality in the post to be able to make back to the basket moves and finish with contact. However, she is also versatile enough to cut backdoor or over the defenders face to slash and score a layup. I have seen her grab a rebound and bring the ball up the court like a PG and deliver a dime. Not to mention she can also step back and shoot it well beyond the arc.

Speaking of teams that had notable graduations, that distinction certainly applies to 5A Division 1 Ashley Ridge. Foley is returning as she is a 2027 and her play will be key in re-establishing the Swamp Foxes as forces to be reckoned with across the state. The six foot three forward understands how to find driving lanes to the rim and deliver strong finishes at the cup. Foley can handle the rock with her left hand and complete a play at the rim with either her right or her left hand. A product of FBC Reign on the Under Armour circuit, Foley had a busy weekend between participating in The Expo and at the Super 64 the following day at 3A Keenan HS.

As was the case with Shaw and House, Foley was also in attendance two weeks ago at the Passion Driven Showcase and displayed exactly why she has already landed collegiate offers. UNC-Pembroke was the latest school to extend an offer in Foley’s direction. She may have been one of the taller prospects on hand in Florence, but what had to get the attention of the many collegiate coaches on hand was her versatility. Following her competing on the grassroots circuit over the last few months with FBC Reign, Foley looks ahead to the 2025-26 season where 5A Division 1 Ashley Ridge looks to continue its winning ways.

At an even six feet, Foley was one of the taller prospects on hand at this past weekend’s Passion Driven Showcase. She is entering her junior season with 5A Division 1 Ashley Ridge and is coming off running with FBC Reign 2027 on the AAU trail. Foley, part of Team Cooper this past weekend, can play at the wing with her ability to operate in a team’s lineup as either a two or a three. When she attacks the rim is when she is particularly dangerous but that is the case for her as well when she has the ball behind the 3-point arc. Those 3-pointers can also be of the old-fashioned variety and she also plays effective perimeter defense.

Coach Johnette Walker at Newberry College has been doing plenty of blazing of South Carolina’s recruiting trail. Not only was the Cardinal-turned-War Eagle Thompson offered by Walker, but an offer was also extended in the direction of this talented veteran from 5A Division 1 Ashley Ridge. She adds this offer to a previous one she had from Flagler of the Peach Belt Conference. She recently concluded her spring and summer running with FBC United Reign on the grassroots circuit. Foley’s basketball schedule remains active as she is set to take part in the inaugural Passion Driven Showcase this weekend at the Pearl Moore Center in Florence.

We begin with an offer that took place last month. Foley – a standout junior at 5A Division 1 Ashley Ridge – announced midway through June that she landed an offer from Flagler. The Saints are based in Florida and compete in the Peach Belt Conference. Since then, she split her live period weekend between Louisville (Run 4 Roses) and Indianapolis (Under Armour Session II). FBC United Reign is set to take part this weekend at the Under Armour finals in Pennsylvania. Foley was previously part of the junior varsity team at Ashley Ridge but worked her way up to varsity status with the Swamp Foxes.

The early morning schedule for Roses Friday included Foley’s FBC United Reign 2027 GUAA team matchup up against SA Hoops Elite 16U E40 out of Texas. She made her presence known at all times her sneakers made contact with the court. Foley played effective perimeter defense and was consistent in having opportunities to convert on old-fashioned 3-point plays. Rebounding is another strong element in the talented junior’s game. Three weeks ago, Foley landed her first collegiate offer from Flagler of the Peach Belt Conference and is poised for another stellar season wearing the colors of 5A Division 1 Ashley Ridge.

Between the less-than-conventional manner in which Ashley Ridge’s 2024-25 season concluded plus graduating a bevy of seniors, one may think the Swamp Foxes may no longer be in the contender’s chat for now. Not so fast. A product of FBC Region 2027 GUAA (Under Armour), Foley stands at an even six feet. She was particularly effective with attacking the rim – sometimes in the half-court offense and in transition on other occasions. Foley was also collecting steals and displayed guard-like skills by getting from one end of the floor to the other. She also recently landed an offer from Division II Flagler in Florida.
