Lilly Reid Lilly Reid 5'9" | SF Sheridan | 2026 State AR is one of, if not the best, shooter in the state, and she has attracted a lot of college attention because of that.

She is coming off a 24-point, 10-rebound, 4-stock performance in one of Sheridan’s last conference games of the year. She has had plenty of other double-double performances including a 26-point, 10-rebounds, 5-stock outing and then 19 points, 11 boards, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks against El Dorado.

Reid has proven to be a solid player in the high post thanks to her excellent touch on tear-drops and hooks, but she is even better when shooting from 30 feet. She has such a quick and high release that it is incredibly difficult to block her shot. And naturally, if she gets an open look from beyond the arc, she is almost guaranteed to hit it.

Lilly Reid Lilly Reid 5'9" | SF Sheridan | 2026 State AR may very well be the best shooter in the entire state. No one has the range and consistency to do what she does, and everyone needs to finally recognize that.

As of January 20th, Reid had 250 career 3-pointers, while also surpassing 1,500 points in her career. One of her best games of the year was against Hot Springs, where she put up 21 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, and 5 blocks, proving she is more than just an outside shooter.

It does not matter if she is in the corner, on the wing, up top, or mid-way between the 3-point line and halfcourt, she will pull it and drain it. I will admit, some of the shots Reid is taking should never be taken in a game…except if you can consistently make them.

From what I’ve heard, she’s been receiving a lot of attention from Division I schools (about time), so other schools, you’d better get on that.

Let us go to the beginning of the week on the 25th, where Lilly Reid had a ridiculous showing in the win over Clinton High School. She put up 27 points, 17 rebounds, and 3 steals, while nailing multiple deep triples. Now, when I say “deep,” I am talking about Caitlin Clark, Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard deep.

I saw Reid knock down three 3-pointers from the logo! The defense was not even that bad, they presented solid closeouts, but it still was not enough to throw off Reid’s shot. She has a great shooting stroke, and her quick release allows her to get her shot off before the defense can offer better contests. All three of these shots were also off catch-and-shoot situations. I could continue to talk about Reid’s outside shooting, but let us not forget the 5’9″ forward pulled down 17 rebounds.

Reid was doing the dirty work on the glass on both sides of the ball. She was earning second-chance opportunities for her team and ending possible second possessions for the other team. Reid chased after loose balls and played solid defense.

Lilly Reid had an impactful all-around game, but her outside shooting was incredible. She is shooting from further out as a junior than she was as a sophomore, so I am curious if she starts shooting closer to the halfcourt line as a senior.

Lilly Reid is a sniper, and she has one of the smoothest shooting strokes out of any player in the state of Arkansas. Of course, Reid is more than just a shooter for the Lady Yellowjackets, but her outside ability alone can garner collegiate attention.

Reid is one of Sheridan’s best players, especially on offense. Her outside shooting is her calling card, with a release so quick that if you blink, you won’t even know the ball was in her hands. Slowmos of her shooting form still seem like she is shooting in real-time. She puts perfect spin on the ball and every make rips through the net. But her release is also effortless. Reid can pull it from well beyond the 3-point line, and she acts like she is shooting from ten feet out. Her form never changes, which is a great shooting quality, and one that most high school hoopers lack. Her catch-and-shoot ability is fantastic, and she can drill threes any time she wants.

On the inside, Reid can drive to the basket and finish or draw contact. Once at the free throw line, Reid continues to show off her smooth form and drains every free shot.

Defensively, Reid can rack up the stats. She has good awareness and picks up every loose ball in her area. She is aware of errant passes and can take those the other way too. Reid’s on-ball defense is solid. She stays in front of her assignment and cuts off their driving lanes, forcing them to pass.

Lilly Reid is a very solid basketball player, who is already one of the best shooters in Arkansas. Reid’s stock is rising, so colleges better start contacting her before it is too late.
