I know I just talked about Ainsley Stevens Ainsley Stevens 5'8" | PG/SG Sheridan | 2029 State AR in another similar article a few weeks ago, but it is hard to deny the talent that she possesses at the point guard position.

Stevens can do a bit of everything. She can score from inside, outside, and in between, thanks to a smooth shooting stroke and the ability to attack the basket through traffic. Her ball-handling ability allows her to get to her spots on the floor and break past defenders on her way to the bucket.

Like all young point guards, Stevens is still developing as a playmaker, but she is making excellent progress. As a freshman, she showed just how good her vision is when it comes to finding the open teammate.

Ainsley Stevens Ainsley Stevens 5'8" | PG/SG Sheridan | 2029 State AR had several promising performances this past season for Sheridan, and with several of the Yellowjackets’ top players graduating, Stevens will be in a prime position to step up.

Stevens was able to find the bottom of the bucket several times throughout the year, both from outside and inside. She had strong offensive showings against White Hall and Hot Springs, just to name a couple. In that fiery game against White Hall, Stevens scored 11 points while several senior starters were in foul trouble. Against Hot Springs, Stevens finished with 8 points.

Stevens is a very good 3-point shooter who absolutely cannot be given any space from beyond the arc. In the open court, Stevens is a threat as well, using her speed to blow past defenders and be in the right place at the right time for a pass.

There were not many players who could be both smooth and tough at the same time on the court, but Ainsley Stevens Ainsley Stevens 5'8" | PG/SG Sheridan | 2029 State AR proved to be one of them.

Stevens started the afternoon by torching the competition during drills. During simple full-court dribbling drills, Stevens was showing off her effortless speed and getting to the basket well before the defense could catch up. She also showed her ability to knock down jump shots.

Games or scrimmages always have a chance to be physical, and last weekend was no different. Stevens absorbed contact with the ball in her hands, and if another player threw a bump her way, she would throw it right back at them, not backing down from the physicality.
