Braelyn Stilwell was able to lead her team in an almost undefeated season all the way to the state championship. She handles the ball well knowing how to make plays, and her ability to read the floor well seeing what the defense is giving her is certainly fun to watch. She is a main focus for opponents every time she steps on the court as she can score on all levels creating plays off the dribble or being ready to catch and shoot.
Highlights
Amari Baldwin was on a tear this season, but that’s not really news. She can score on all levels using her speed to get to the open look, and her handles are sure to get her some open space. She has a way of creating plays making nice adjustments to get the ball into her teammates on the block, and she knows how to draw defenders away from them giving them space, too.
Highlights
Ashanti Fox helped her team win a state championship this year being able to compete against anyone who is in front of her. Her ability to knock down shots from deep brings a lot of energy to her team right when they need it most, and she is shifty being able to find the open lane scoring at the rim. She’s tough on defense, too, creating some offensive possessions by grabbing steals and pushing the tempo the other direction.
Olivia Robertson has really stepped up her inside game. She’s always been tough in the paint, but this year she really excelled with her footwork and quickness. She can battle anyone inside for rebounds, and she seals off her opponents well opening up some space for drives to the basket or her own points. She can go to work with her dribble moving her defender where she wants to go, or she can shoot right off the pass knowing how to read where her defender is on the court.
