Baldwin’s 1A Albemarle rendition began the season with a four-game winning streak. On Saturday, The Burlington School had no answers for the Bulldogs’ star senior guard as she dropped 30 points in a 76-27 drubbing of the Spartans. Baldwin delivered 17 of those 30 in the second half of play. A center point of her play is her speed and how she ferociously attacks the basket. Baldwin also knows how to turn her defense into offense. A good number of the plays she made were in transition. The ability to split defenses when attacking the cup is another strong point to her overall game.

Baldwin is quick-on-quick on the basketball court. She is super-fast on both offense and defense. She has the ability to turn her speed on and burst past any defender. Baldwin has a motor that is turned all the way up at all times for her team. She is a fantastic athlete who is also super-skilled. She can score at the rim with power or pull up to drain a smooth floater in the paint. Baldwin is also an amazing defender. She will force multiple steals each game because of her length, her anticipation skills, and her ability to pressure the basketball.

Baldwin will force multiple steals per game because of her effort and urgency on the defensive end. Baldwin is ready to make positive things happen for her team on the floor this July.

Amari Baldwin can certainly take matters into her own hands attacking the basket. She’s so athletic making her moves to the rim and even scoring some old fashioned three point plays late in a game giving her team some energy. She is always keeping her head on a swivel on defense, too, making sure her opponents can’t get the read they want.

She can certainly score creating her own plays off the dribble, and she knows how to make the smart cuts putting up her shot off the pass. Her high IQ is sure to make the right plays for herself or her teammates knowing how to read the floor, attack the gaps, and make the defensive shifts needed to get the open look.

Amari Baldwin is so shifty with the ball making her way by defenders on fast breaks to score herself. Her quickness is also apparent on the other end of the court hustling back and grabbing the ball away from her opponents to prevent fast breaks. She has nice range with her shot knocking it down from deep. She even had a nice shot block in the paint. She is such a ball hawk getting after it no matter where it is on the court.

Amari Baldwin started off the season passing the 1,000 point milestone, and she is showing no signs of slowing down. She can score on all levels, and she does so making her own space. Her ability to handle the ball, attack the gaps, and make defenders collapse around her opens up a lot of possibilities for her teammates because she knows how to make adjustments to get the pass to them. She does the little things, too, like going after loose balls and crashing the boards for rebounds.

Amari Baldwin is definitely going to be a 1000 point scorer as she is close to reaching that milestone at the beginning of her junior season. Playmaking is her game as she racks up assists and steals every game she gets to play. She has a nice step back jumper, and her quick decision making allows her to take full advantage of her defender playing back a little as she knocks down her shot from deep. Her crafty handles create her own space on the court to score some points, too.
