Co-MVP again! It's extremely difficult to pick between [player_tooltip player_id='245364' first='Maddy' last='Newman'] and [player_tooltip player_id='245367' first='Amelia' last='Pfeiffer']. These two are so much alike, yet so extremely different too! I love both of their games! I am also a new Tennessee Tech fan because I will be tuning in and rooting for both of these young women!

Region Most Improved

Dycus:

Halle Bailey, Alcoa – The PG ended the year playing fantastic basketball. She was leading the team like a true floor general–she's been vocal, confident, and intentional about her new leadership role.

Dycus' Honorable Mention: [player_tooltip player_id='719267' first='Kenzington' last='Fleming'], Pigeon Forge

Meade:

Kara Pitts, Alcoa - Kara was relentless on both sides of the court! She was a rebounding machine and played whatever role was needed of her. The jump that Kara made on the court statistically and all-around is impressive! I was left impressed by Pitts after every game I watched!

Region Freshman of the Year

Dycus:

[player_tooltip player_id='907560' first='Tymirrianna' last='Brown'], Austin East – The freshman averaged 14 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds.

Dycus' Honorable Mention: [player_tooltip player_id='816717' first='Jacy' last='Cox'], Alcoa

Meade:

[player_tooltip player_id='816717' first='Jacy' last='Cox'] is a remarkable freshman and she is my freshman MVP. She is an elite defender! She is also a sniper from deep! This freshman has an extremely high ceiling so continue to watch her and Alcoa through the years!

Region Players to Watch Next Season

Dycus:

[player_tooltip player_id='513232' first='Nya' last='Burns'], Gatlinburg-Pittman – The ‘26 PG has all the potential in the world. She's already a top notch PG, averaging 13 points and 5 assists. As her usage goes up with Newman's graduation, you will likely see a jump in Burns' numbers.

Dycus' Honorable Mention – Makalee, Pigeon Forge – The ‘26 is already a two time All-District 1st teamer. Eventually, people will begin to figure out how good she is.

Dycus' Honorable Mention: Gwen Carrol, Alcoa – With Pfeiffer graduating, there will be a large chunk of the offense missing. GC will help fill it.

Meade:Continue to keep all eyes on the young talent in Alcoa and Gatlinburg-Pittman! Another region with a load of next level talent. Halle Bailey may be a softball standout but her heart is also larger than anyones on the basketball court too! [player_tooltip player_id='889915' first='Gwen' last='Carroll'] is an athlete that will see her stock continue to rise! Carroll is different!

Region's Most Fun Team to Watch –

Dycus:

Gatlinburg-Pittman – Simple answer…but I got to watch them battle twice against McMinn Central this season. The law firm of Glasper, Burns, & Newman is an incredibly talented trio, and a lot of fun to watch.

Meade:

I can't even pick one. I enjoyed watching Alcoa, Gatlinburg-Pittman, South Greene, and so many good basketball teams throughout this region!
