It has been a few weeks since several teams departed from Macon with the honor of adding the title of state champions to finish their seasons. On the outside looking in, basketball may seem at most like a four-month sport. For the players and coaches themselves, it is a 12-month endeavor.

That is where the travel season comes in. One of the many teams from across the Peach State that is hitting the road is [program_tooltip program_id='713610' first='Georgia' last='Flames'] 2025. Based in the northern suburbs and exurbs of Atlanta, the team will compete in the HoopSeen Georgia Cup II this weekend.

Here is a look at this year's team.

[player_tooltip player_id='285230' first='Amilya' last='Taft'] – It continues to be said that height cannot be coached. Taft brings plenty of it at a towering 6-foot-4. Taft nearly averaged a double-double this past season at 6A Creekview, averaging 10 points and 9.7 rebounds a game.

[player_tooltip player_id='506252' first='Eva' last='Bishop'] – Bishop is a two-sport athlete who also plays volleyball in addition to his basketball accomplishments. She too, being a post, is another one of the taller members of the team as she stands at 5-foot-11.

[player_tooltip player_id='434276' first='Emma' last='Lightsey'] – Last month, Lightsey landed her first offer following a visit to Division II Emmanuel. She is part of the nucleus of 3A White County and she averaged 15.3 points per game in 2023-24.

[player_tooltip player_id='434289' first='Hailey' last='Hiddema'] – Along with showcasing her skills on the basketball court, she also does the same on in the lacrosse ranks. The talented Hiddema is the lone representative from 4A East Forsyth on this year's [program_tooltip program_id='713610' first='Georgia' last='Flames'] 2025 roster.

[player_tooltip player_id='428434' first='Annarose' last='Tyre'] – Speaking of two-sport athletes, one must take note of this one who is a standout at 7A (soon to be 6A) Lambert. Tyre also excels as a flag football player in addition to basketball.

Photo: Prep Girls Hoops

[player_tooltip player_id='434275' first='Bella' last='Martin'] – Martin experienced plenty of winning basketball in her junior campaign with 3A Pickens. The Dragons concluded the 2023-24 season with a record of 25-5 and a second-round berth in the 3A tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='620399' first='Amelia' last='Brown'] – Brown is the sole representative from South Forysth on this year's [program_tooltip program_id='713610' first='Georgia' last='Flames'] 2024 roster. Her War Eagles will change classification from 7A to 6A beginning next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='817190' first='Marissa' last='Mason'] – Between Mason and her teammate Taft, Creekview is well-represented on this year's [program_tooltip program_id='713610' first='Georgia' last='Flames'] 2025 roster. She initially began her career at the high school in the junior varsity ranks before earning varsity status.

[player_tooltip player_id='800566' first='Ellie' last='Peterson'] – Peterson displays her versatility with her ability to give a team productive minutes either as a guard in the backcourt or as a forward in the frontcourt. Once this travel season is over, she will prepare for a 2024-25 high school year where Harrison will be part of the 6A ranks.
